Coral Belt?

Prof. Caique Received Red and Black Belt in Brazil!!!

Professor Caique received his Red and Black belt in Brazil today. It was given to him by Master Rickson Gracie and sanctioned by the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation. Ever seen a red belt in real life?

I have, I had the good luck to attend an Alvaro Barreto seminar a couple of years ago, it was awesome. :icon_chee

Apparently there are only like a dozen other living red belts, and I think Rorion and Reylson are the only ones that live in the US.

Yeah, I lived with a red belt... well I lived in his academy for a while anyway. Master Fransisco Mansor. he gave me my blue belt and is a very good friend of mine to this day even though I live across the country now.
 
I am fortunate to be able to train (and roll) with an 8th Degree Coral belt on a daily basis. Master Ricardo Murgel is a full time instructor at my school. That man's knowledge of BJJ is frickin' incredible.
 
i want to see a full haggard coral/red belt, that would be awsome.

what school is that? Is that Alliance you are training at?

never seen anything higher then 2nd degree black..
 
I have a picture w/ me and Pedro Sauer and he gotz the red/black belt like in the picture above, super awesome guy too.

not true. rickson has been rocking the red/black for quite some time now. my good friend just posted pics from a rickson seminar in cali where both him and pedro sauer were rocking the red/blacks.

i guess this means rickson is officially retired, and that the rickson/sakuraba fight will NEVER happen. damn you red/black belt.
 
hahaha here's how badass relson is. we all know he doesn't teach regularly at his main academy much anymore, as he has so many affiliate schools now, that they demand much attention these days. that being said, the belt relson is wearing in that pic is his 'new' red/black belt. his old red/black belt is haggard to the max, but still in tact.

the most unreal thing about it is, he still leaves it hanging in his office at the main academy in honolulu... i wouldn't leave my fricking purple belt anywhere in fear of losing it and the sentimental value it has. i guess relson knows no one would be dumb enough to even touch that thing.
 
All these gracies are getting belts.... Is there even a red belt that's not a Gracie....
