I'm starting to think that the local PD has it out for him ever since his public run ins with the law. I don't even really care about Jones' innocence. He's clearly proven to be a dirtbag wolf in sheep's clothing kind of guy. His super hero persona is gone. But the guy is still a hell of a fighter and despite what it is on paper, he's the champ. He's never lost a fight. He got DQ'd. He got stripped. But no one has actually beaten him to take the title. For that, I'm still going to tune in to his fights, and keep winning bets off his fights.

Albuquerque, from what I know, is a pretty small town with a small population compared to the other cities that have dozens of MMA fighters. It's the kind of town where everyone knows everyone. "Celebrities" stand out like a sore thumb. Given Jon's recent run ins with the law, and given law enforcement's history of carrying grudges and hating when charges don't stick, I'm pretty sure that Jones has a target on his back.

"I feel the same way about you, sir." Do you hear what the officer said? He clearly said that he strongly dislikes Jones. I mean, that sounds like obvious bias. The law is supposed to be objective. But here we have a cop intentionally being condescending and making it clear that he has a dislike for an individual.

Jones is a millionaire, I believe. He should honestly move out of Albuquerque to an area where he's not well known. Move in with your brothers or something. Anything. Just get out of there. Only go there to train. And while you're there, use ubers, cabs, or friend's to give you a ride. You can afford it. Your'e not invincible. You have a target on your back. Play the game wisely. Because if you want to keep making those millions without having it taken from you, you gotta play it safe. The blue wall is damn near undefeated. You're not going to beat it. OJ didn't beat it. He beat one rap, but he still got pulled in for another. Money gives you a second chance, not 9 lives. He needs to be a bit smarter about his choices. And the biggest choice he can make is have someone drive you!!!!!!

And just for fun while I'm upsetting people, PED's, WMMA, Condit beat Diaz fairly squarely, Fedor is washed up and he ducked the UFC, Conor got exposed, and Joe Rogan is the messiah. LMAO.

TL;DR

The cop came across like a passive-aggressive whiny little POS that was relishing ruining Jon's day.

I don't care for Jon, I really don't. When I saw the news I thought, "there he goes again". But having watched the video that cop rubbed me the wrong way.

And why cant you guys add this in the other 50 threads?

Why wouldn't he dislike someone who is yelling at him for doing his job?

Same here. I had the worst expectations when i started reading about this and watching the video. I did get the feeling that the cop wanted to fuck with him. Add to the fact that they quickly sold the video to TMZ. Can't believe that cops do that shit btw, it should really be frown upon.

Three things you say to cops, yes sir, no sir and thank you sir.

Chances are you won't get shot if you do that. There is a difference between being right and being smart, be smart, not right.

Well said TS, just keep in mind that like Ronda, Jon could care less what you think about him or your advice.

Exactly, I worry for the next McGregor vs. Diaz fight, pray it doesn't go 5 rounds because as much as we analyzed the first round "sweep" the internet couldn't handle 5 rounds of material to discuss.

That pretty ignorant of you. He knows who he is so he will still talk shit. You know what a trained martial artist gets for hitting an off duty cop? If its violent enough attempt murder, and at the very least assault with a deadly weapon. That's a fact. Jon is on their radar dude, and everyone else hugging his nuts right now...He fucked up badly the first time and skated, the second time...not as bad but, skated and gave an absolutely insulting 100 buck to donation for some shit..So...like all people who think they are above it all, they are on him...and rightly so. He literally worked the system and got off twice without feeling the slightest bit remorseful of what he did the FIRST time. You know what pisses off a cop the most? Watching someone break the law repeatedly and not giving a fuck to change their behavior, and continue to endanger others..not just him. That's not the real point. He is endangering others, that's the point. If he just stayed in his castle and just fucked off there they wouldn't care but, he comes out and acts a fool. That's the point. When I was younger and acting out I made some unfriendly relationships with the local authority...MY FAULT not theirs.

So you don't expect any level of professionalism from the boys in blue? That's what they signed up for. When I was in my early twenties I did debt collection. I knew that people would yell at me. I still maintained a level of objective professionalism and did my job. Expecting less from cops puts us all at risk of abuse. Expect more.

Let's turn this thread into a race war!!!
WarCry.gif

???? Hmmmm. Do you assume anything that doesn't agree with cops is racially motivated? Or are you just a racist who wants race wars?

Cute. I guess you aren't a fan of context.

The cop only reciprocated what Jon expressed to him first.

What do you do for work? I can't think of any profession where it's acceptable to reciprocate insults and aggression. Except cops. They're pretty much invincible, right?

Three things you say to cops, yes sir, no sir and thank you sir.

Sounds like you're resigned to the idea of living in a police state. Respect them no matter what, right?

I'm aware. Many people don't care about what we say but we still have our right to express our opinions, no?

The cops hating a coke head that had multiple driving infractions including fleeing the scene of an accident after hitting another vehicle with a pregnant woman inside? Say it isn't so!!!

Yeah, a "small town" with just 550,000 people, where everyone is on a first name basis. Lmfao.

Hi mod. It looks like you care. A lot. ;) Wastelanded, eh? "I don't care." Delete threads and then target posters. Cool. I'm going to start screen capping so people can see that you're abusing your power. Care about the truth, not your image.

Cops are not supposed to do that though. If a person is getting ticket for something he strongly feels he didn't do; of course he's going to be upset and might say not nice things. A cop is supposed to remain neutral. No say things back. the cop is at fault here. I guarantee you, jon's lawyers are going to have a field day with this. It shows obvious bias.
