Cop pulls over Cop (chaos erupts)

The trooper is 100% correct on this and I’m not surprised the sheriff is an asshole. You can buy literally our entire uniform at 5 locations just in the city alone, and no one will question it. I see random minivans and Tahoe’s driving on the shoulder with their lights on all the time and can’t help but wonder who they are. I usually just give them the benefit of the doubt and say feds, fugitive apprehension, or some other units but could be anyone.

A relevant story that explains why the trooper was name checking him after credentials were shown. I stopped a guy once who matched the description of an offender for an assualt that just occurred. He pulled out FBI credentials and just like the trooper in the video we ran him and as luck would have it... they were stolen out of an FBI agents car about a week prior.

Great response. Kinda scary that you can buy uniforms like that tho.... imagine if my wife was pulled over by unmarked vehicle. Not sure what she should do.

The qualifications and training for most sherriff's department is definitely not on par with troopers. I'm sort of critical of law enforcement officers at times, but in this case clearly the trooper was in the right.

Both cops were just trying to get home to their families.

Lol. True? I need to keep up with you guys better. @ens189 is dirty tho... he would be in the position of the sheriff
i was making a subtle, “ens dresses and plays pretend with other dorks in the desert and isn’t actually border patrol but in fact a militia man” pwn.

How you going to leave out @Protectandserve, @cleetus, @G-19, and @A.C.?
I think the two agencies also had some type of ongoing feud due to another stop by one trooper on an officer or deputy if I recall.

Florida gonna Florida.

On a personal note, it drives me nuts seeing officers drive like assholes or bust their code 3 lights for no reason. It's dangerous for everyone involved.

We actually had a sergeant in an unmarked get pulled over driving in the carpool lane heading to a training class. He gives the Chippie lip and badges him. Gets to the class and in walks that CHP officer, as the instructor... He got written up by our chief for being a dumbass.

It's funny how the sheriff says he's escorting a bus to a football championship in May.
If you know anything about Football, the Championships are typically in January.

lol, don't like it, do ya???

Clickbait title.
Was expecting some UFC fighting, shootout, or chest to chest yell fest.

The trooper was right...lol @ the sheriff implying that the school bus was in danger or something without him escorting it...

Let's ask an expert. @nhbbear

Man, that is some arrogance. In a marked police vehicle, we do escorts for funerals where we will stop traffic to keep the procession together; we will escort oversized loads so they can make tight turns in their big ass vehicles; and we do escorts for a school winning a state championship and it is handled the same way as a funeral, but there are lights and the occasional siren. But these are marked vehicles. That is the difference. I don’t have an issue with this guy having flashing lights on if he is directly in front of the school bus, but he has no authority to make other vehicles move out of the way on a highway. It would be similar to escorting an oversized vehicle.

“You’ll be hearing from the kernal.”

“Yeah, well tell him his commercials suck”

Sheriffs don't always even have the same formal law enforcement training, as they are sometimes elected officials. The trooper was clearly in the right. I would love to get the follow up.

He did correct himself and say he was escorting a school bus for a baseball championship (for what that is worth).

Only High School has Football Leagues.
Junior High doesn't even have a Football field, but they have a track field and a mini Soccer field.
Junior High definitely has football. Football is so popular in the south that sometimes junior high school football games are televised down there.

He corrected himself and said baseball though.
