Hunt was one of the very few whose contract was included with the sale of Pride, but the vast majority of the contracts weren't.Well they definitely acquired the contracts. That was the whole reason why they offered Hunt a buy out rather than honor his 2 fights he had left.
Any specific fights I should brush up on?? I’ve watched mini docs and like twenty of thirty minute of his no time limit match, but it’s hard to pick a specific fight when I wasn’t around at that timeYea. Was great zuffa showed him respect. Wish some of the new fans would educate themselves and watch some of his old scraps
I think all the Gracie fights are worth watching, especially if you can get into the headspace everyone else was in at the time.Any specific fights I should brush up on?? Yea that one really sucked the wind out of their sails. One of crappiest thing was seeing Henderson come in with two Pride titles and losing them both.
Don Frye vs takayama if u wanna see some fireworks.Any specific fights I should brush up on?? I’ve watched mini docs and like twenty of thirty minute of his no time limit match, but it’s hard to pick a specific fight when I wasn’t around at that time
Also there’s a really good doc on the history of Pride called Decade that sums them up really well with a lot of good interviews.Any specific fights I should brush up on?? Yakuza conned fritattasYea they basically bought the logo and the rights to the catalogue I dont believe any of the fighters contracts were involved. I know Enson has talked about it in the past and the situation with the Yakuza involvement in the deal.
Yea Vadim def has a history. I also know they used Fedor most his career at that time. Which was unfortunate just because of the type of person he seemed to be. Just super humble.
These are all must watch fights if you want to see why everyone loves watching Saku. He wasn't the most skilled fighter or biggest, but he had a ton of heart and always put on an exciting perfomance.I think all the Gracie fights are worth watching, especially if you can get into the headspace everyone else was in at the time.
Other than that... Newton, White, Rampage and Randleman are good ones from memory.
