Does protein and calorie content depend on how long meat is cooked? For example, does well done steak have less protein and fewer calories than rare meat?
So then say someone is counting fat/protein/carb/etc. every day. How would he be able to know how much fat he's getting in when he can't measure how much of the fat was cooked off? I never understood that.
I put up a website, www.nutritiondata.com, a while back. Usually, caloric figures are given for meat raw, and for meat cooked, in ounce portions. If you want to know how many calories are in your meat, find the cut and calorie count cooked, then weigh the meat you cooked yourself, and calculate accordingly.
