Converse vs Vans

perfection at its best. Great for everyday wear and they make the best weightlifting shoes for shoes that aren't specifically for weight lifting. I took my regular running shoes and my Chucks to the gym to see the difference in my squat, could squat 30 lbs more with the chucks.

it's no contest. Vans by a mile. Can't even imagine trying to kidnap someone in converse.

Converse looks cooler but damn why can't they make bottom of them thicker

Vans are more comfortable for me. I have wide feet so Chucks are too narrow.

This is the only reason I wear my Chucks, for lifting. I can't be in them on my feet all day because they're uncomfortable for me.

Both are hipster shoes...

Chucks are great for lifting...

I never wore vans before but they seemed comfy than my chucks but I had green suede converse skate shoes back in 1998, and they were one of the most lightest, comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn.

For years the only shoes (other than work shoes) I owned were chucks. I still lift in them but bought a pair of classic vans a few months ago and really like them.

Still prefer wearing sandals whenever I can. Fuck socks.

If you have narrow feet, go with converse, if you have wider feet, then Vans. If you are not a students anymore, then neither.

I wore Vans in high school because I got broad feet.

Converse in general look better, but they break so easily from just normal wear.
I got a pair of Vans Authentic for this summer though. They’re not as wide as other Vans models I’ve had in the past, i like them.

I haven't worn Vans since I was like 15, but I've had the same pair of Chucks for like 5 years now, and the soles are only just now bad enough that I need to replace them. In fact, all of my shoes seem to last forever. Have a pair of Jordans that are in great shape after 4 years, and some Saucony's that are going strong after 3.

My shoes dont usually break either, but my Converse almost always tear at that spot where the rubbery toe part meet the canvas. Maybe i just bend my feet weirdly, idk

The leather Adidas Stan Smiths last forever, imo

I miss Adidas. Was my go-to brand most of my life. Alas, I don't buy products with animal products anymore.

Growing up in San Diego, the only two types of shoes I've ever really owned are chucks and vans. My shoe rack is filled with them. Although I have a couple of pairs of Jack Purcells.

I think Converse look better but my last two pair broke so fast, seemed like they are cutting corners. Got vans old school this time, will report back on durability.
