Controversial decisions in Boxing!

Controversy is an overused term in boxing because of the subjective nature of judging. But there are a lot of fights that the majority of people saw differently then the judges.

Whitaker vs Chavez
Pac vs Bradley
Mayweather vs Castillo
Pacquiao vs Marquez 3

Felix sturm vs anyone.
Marquez vs John.

Naseem Hamed vs Barrera ;)

Oh and sexy vs Williams.

Pac/Bradley is probably the most notable bad decision in recent memory.

Lara/Williams
Whitaker/Chavez

Trowbridge having Canelo up 4 rounds to 1 before the KO of Khan

ali/norton 3.

norton might have also won the 2nd fight. Could have swept him.

That's a very good list because you can't make a single case for any of those fights. They were outright robberies.

When Daniel Geale beat him (pretty comfortably) I think it was a split decision, and from memory the one card against Geale was 110-118!

Naw, Paul beat Sergio in a close one, nothing was off in their first fight.
The decision itself was OK but one judge had it something like 119-109 for Williams.

Ugh.. That is wide.

Edit... I look up the scores, J. Letterman had it 114-114 and the other judge had it 115-113, both fine scores. I can't remember for sure, but I seem to remembering having Paul by a point or two. Either way, that's not an example of a bad decision.

I won a sig bet on that fight, pretty sure it was against PAD.

Robin Reid vs Ottke

Everything about that fight was controversial. The ref appeared to deduct a point mid way through from Reid for literally nothing other than throwing punches? A knockdown was counted as a slip; Reid could not win that fight.
