Thought about this earlier today and couldn't help but wonder if SF's last champions would still have held the belt. Which ones would you say?
1. Heavyweight - If the UFC had never dissolved this division back in 2011, I believe Overeem (Uber) would have beat Bigfoot and Barnett in the GP. After the GP, I'd say Cormier would have taken the belt eventually.
2. Light Heavyweight - If Hendo hadn't gone to the UFC in 2011, I'd assume he would have faced King Mo considering he was still a strong contender at that time and coming off a KO against Roger Gracie. I'd lean more towards King Mo beating Dan Henderson (tough match to call). And if King Mo didn't get cut by Strikeforce for the comments he did, he likely would have faced Mousasi (again) and Mike Kyle. I think he would have won those fights and went into the UFC as a Strikeforce champion.
3. Middleweight - I would say Rockhold would have kept his title throughout 2013, his next opponent was Lorenz Larkin and we saw how he did at MW. Rockhold likely would have fought Jacare again, whether he would have won that fight is a coin flip
4. Welterweight - Saffiedine is the most likely of the final champions that would have lost his belt. He most likely would have fought Voelker and High and get those wins but would eventually lose to Woodley again.
5. Lightweight - Not a strong division, Melendez would have likely retained the belt against the likes of Healy, Couture, and Noons.
