Here is why Trump can NEVER publicly claim/accept Russia interfered with the election - because it will be his eventual defense against obstruction of justice. He has VERY LIKELY been told by his lawyers to never publicly mention that Russia interfered because is he acknowledges that he believes they might have and then he went out of his way to end the investigation that is textbook obstruction. His defense will be "Trump never believes any interference happened and thus he didn't believe there was anything to investigate and thus wasn't trying to obstruct as you can't obstruct something that you didn't think existed anyways".

He'll claim it never happened until he's indicted with dozens of witnesses against him and then it will be "yeah, but so what?".
