Interesting. Gowdy said just last week he told fellow republicans to leave Mueller the hell alone.
That's a blow to party if he's truly leaving politics. He's thought of as an all star on the right.
We may never know the truth, but many of these guys loath where the party has gone. I'd bet he can't stand the idea of Trump attacking the FBI, Mueller, etc. and the party is going along with it. Gowdy is a stickler for the law!He really is one of the few left that is tolerable.
That's probably why he can't tolerate it anymore.

I agree and he's certainly not on my favorites list, but he's very highly thought of by conservatives. And maybe that's why he's leaving. He did indicate that he likes the law more than politics and the witch hunts were all about politics.A stickler who ran a sham commission/political witch-hunt.

hmmm.....Gowdy for barber chair.
Comfortable? Of course. Enjoys it? No idea. I'm just going by what he said in his letter. He lead the fucking witch hunt so I'm pretty sure he's comfortable with politics. And from seeing him on an episode of Forensic Files he apparently likes the camera too.
