I must admit they are getting smarter. They at least have backup plans ready now instead of hiding out for two weeks after Conor wins.

Nonetheless, hatred breeds irrationality, just as irrationality breeds hatred. While 99% of Conor fans are extremely successful, happy, well-doing people that probably know at least a decent bit about MMA, the haters are virtually the complete opposite in every regard and I’ve learned they’ll never be able to break that cycle.

They don’t speak truth like Conor fans, they speak over-used gifs and tired-out insults. That’s their point, and then they get upset when someone points out that’s their point and that makes them a hater, because what else would it make them?

The only thing worse is the “neutral” parties that sit there and favor or equate this irrationality to supporting your favorite fighter. They may be the biggest haters of all through association and tolerance, but one look through their post history generally reveals they aren’t quite as neutral as they would lead you to believe.

More popular he is, more fans he has and more detractors he has.
Since Conor is so popular, it's normal that he has more fans and more detractors than the average fighter.
Funny enough, 9 out of 10 threads are about that hate you talk about.

Yeah, they are fucking sick in the head. The entire premise is based on a strawman of there being legions of rabid "conor nuthuggers" who go around touting he is number 1 p4p or something. Except, this doesn't happen. You cant even be a Conor fan on Sherdog or have an objective assessment of his skills without people spamming gifs from the first Nate or Floyd fight. They are likely people who are bitter that Conor destroyed their favorite fighter, or beta boys who dont like seeing successful, brash males speak with confidence. Either way, they are completely obsessed and have made this forum unbearable.

You're not a fan of MMA you're a fan of a particular fighter which means you will ignore anything that causes cognitive dissonance and in addition you and your ilk will ruin events like Khabib vs McGregor by turning what would be a compelling fight for all fans of the sport into an intolerable fucking circus. Conor could lose or win but you will never become any more thoughtful or appreciative. They truly are. you can be rational about it. conor is a great fighter who brings something unique to the game for his fans. He always has entertaining fights.

People let their personal views about his personality and his time off from fighting cloud their judgement of how good of a fighter he really is.
