I love Conor. Its hard not to be drawn to his past predictions and all the documentaries and stuff about him. I admit Ive consistently watched it all and his training and fighting style is hard not love watching

But his boxing just seems sloppy as hell. He wings left hands and hardly ever keeps his hands up. He is a head hunter. Are we brainwashed or is Conor just a power slugger with some fancy kicks? Those uppercuts? They land sometimes but they come from a frickin mile away.. He could catch Frankie sure. Gray Maynard did but.. Does it not seem that Frankies Boxing is just on another level? Its clean and his hands are always up and he is always moving his head he doesnt ever wing punches and get off balance. And to be honest Conor does.

When he doesn't have a huge reach advantage and can't use it to dictate range while being aggressive he should use his kicks...

Oh wait, he doesn't know how to really kick outside of fancy spinning shit.

He's a power slugger with fancy kicks, high intelligence, and a great orator.

His aura is gone.

His kicks worked well against Mendes though. The teep kicks or front kicks to the body seems to be very effective

It worked because he could bully Chad with his hands. Once Chad was against the cage he started landing with the kicks. That said, I'm sure it's much easier to land those kicks to Mendes due to the size advantage. He still doesn't seem to be able to throw a traditional kick to the body or the leg. It would have really aided him against Diaz.

He managed to land a few upper cuts on Nate's diamond hard jaw, but they didn't do much.

Just because someone doesn't work with strict classical technique doesn't mean they're bad at it. Conor has a 90% KO rate and was, until just now, on a 15 fight winning streak including a 13 second KO of Jose Aldo. You can't say his striking is bad. It's heavily loaded towards his left hand straights and hooks, but he manages to land it often and to great effect.

One loss doesn't make you a can, folks.

Can't box and yet he was ripping Diaz (a good boxer) up. Watch the breakdown in round one. Diaz had nothing for him.

He definitely made the mistake of head hunting a guy with a solid chin and throwing too many spinning hook kicks in one round just to please the audience.

Kavanagh, from what I understand wanted Conor to go to the body, but Conor mostly went for the head.

He was having great success with his Boxing in the first round, but like I said, wouldve been better if he went after Diaz's legs or body.

Some "flat footed Muay Thai" would've been a great asset too him.

Totally. He is far from a can lol. He is a monster. He has something for sure. I think his left comes like a machine. He delivers fast as hell. The speed that left has if crazy.. But Idk what it is. When i watch his hands I just feel like something is missing... Its mostly his defense

The jab straight Diaz used to rock McG in round 2... For reasons unknown, McG tried to defend it with a left uppercut and he paid dearly.

The strict classical techniques would have at least informed him to protect his jaw.

He kicked chads ass. Quite literally.

Frankie's boxing along with his take down threat makes him a nightmare matchup for Conor. Along with his toughness I don't see Conor having much of a chance. The powers that be don't want this fight. With his belt gone trying to climb back up the latter won't make him much of a draw.
Has nothing for top 5 155.
Interesting to see how they try and milk a couple more money fights from him. Lotta spin.

I also dont think Diaz's boxing is elite as some say. He's very very good. He is long. He lands punches because he seems to fight so long. He is a good mma boxer who is tougher than most with good timing on his jab and straight right. His durability is his second biggest asset behind his BJJ. .... And sometimes Nate seems pretty sloppy also. But I think that Conor was landing in round 1 but Nate was leaning back and he was able to take the punches at the very end of Conors reach. Nate landed some check hooks and solid shots in round 1 also.. Nate has something figured out with his length and ability to absorb shots in a certain way that is different. Im still analyzing nate diaz.. Hes awkward to watch but highly effective

1 loss and he's a can with a hard punch. Classic Sherdog.

He tries to walk before he crawls.

Nate's a marathon runner.

Think about it.
