The ufc is a privately owned corporation. No shareholders.Dana white doesn't answer to 50 different banks that care about stock prices and dividents and mosty short term results. He answers to his friends. If the same thing was going on in bellator(owned by viacom)i am pretty sure things would be different...

They have both turned a win/win situation into a no win situation... I mean they could still both recover from this but it's just pure stupidity by both. For the UFC, they could give a little, no one would care that much. For Conor, is a week off of training 2+ months away really more valuable than the fight itself, personally and monetarily.

Cloners biggest obstacle is his EGO.........

UFC doesnt lose here........they can and will replace Cloner.........

Conor's biggest obstacle is a glass McJaw, zero ground game, and predictable standup. Okay, that's three obstacles.

Will the fight do 1.5 million or even more without Conor? The fact is that the UFC is trying to maintain the amount of control they have over their fighters. I think they are losing more money than they would in future negotiations. I think they still have the power over the fighters but in this case it is probably more fiscally responsible not to flex that muscle.

I kinda was hoping you were going to say his biggest obstacle was his touchbutt addiction

Firstly, there are shareholders.

Flash Entertainment own 10% of the business.

Also, why is it only considered Conor's obstacle? Why is everyone treating this like a Floyd and Top Rank situation?

There are 600 other fighters who probably aren't happy with pay, sponsorship etc. but, hey - Conor Life's Matter!

Getting boring now.

With Connor off the card I'm not going to buy it..............and I'm not a big fan of his

I think it will, but we'll have to see...

Was Cloner around when the UFC started? Did he build the brand up over many years?

There have been many Cloners before and as Rousey will show, there will be many more.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Conor is right but Dana isn't either. Conor isn't bigger that the brand that Dana has been crucial in building but he is a bigger deal than Dana is. That being said, my opinion is these to egomaniacs should have been able to get past their pride and figured something out that makes sense for both sides and still made all of the money both sides now stand to lose.

What the fuck are you even talking about?

If conor thinks he's so damn big, let him finish out his contract....then go promote himself like Mayweather did.
We'll see how much money Conor makes without the following:

1. UFC's infrastructure and reputation behind him
2. UFC providing the events and opponents for him to fight
3. UFC bankrolling, scheduling and coordinating the promotion of the fights

I really can't believe how silly some people are being about this situation. lol

I'll also buy his first fight back at 145 mostly cuz I think he's going to die

Biggest obstacle is having to follow rules of a company just like most of us do. In all fairness though we don't get beat up by people who call us motherf****** at work as that would just suck!
