As I long time fan of MMA, as much as I like the Rhonda Hype train, it was devastating to see her respond to get loss in the way she did. Her whole pitch was about being so mentally tough, which was really based on the fact that she was winning. I have no doubt she will come back, and give us some great fights, but it will be based on who she is training with and if she is wise enough to invite other methods into her camp, that will bring about victories or not, unless of course it is catching am arm.

With Conor however, I think his greatest feat, is still being able to call out Nate, taking the fight, and continuing to stay focused on his next opponent. We as fans for years have missed out on great fights because of fighters ducking, or only fighting under circumstances.

In Conor we see a guy who knew how to create fight hype, which based on the last UFC media day I would say everyone there was trying to use tricks out of his book, but we also see a guy that has created a good four or five possible hype fights for the next few years.

Him vs Edgar = if he wins, to many it will just be him beating a so called "midget" as Nate refers to them. But to us as fans we will have seen him put his money where his mouth is and top one of the toughest and most competitive fighters ever.

Him vs Aldo = why even have a rematch? While we as fans want to see it, in all honesty he could play the "it took 13 seconds card". But who doesn't want to see what fire this has brought to Aldo, and see how Conor vs Aldo 2 will play out.

Then Conor can make the final move up to 155, fighting any of them, Pettis, Cerrone, Nate again, and definitley RDA.

So long as Conor is invested in fighting, as a fighter, and not as we have seen in so many who simply wanted to hold a belt, I see him sustaining a fan base and creating interesting stories.

Hopefully though, if anything, he will drop the hype of only training in Ireland and bring in others for the sake of his wrestling and even perfecting his jiu jitsu. Yes I saw the Gracie breakdown, and the x guard, don't have a fit.

In summary, he came into the UFC and smashed everyone, trusting for the most part on his hands. Hearing his philosophy seep through in everything he does, we understand why he figured anyone I fight would not be able to stand with me. The fact that those punches didn't take don't the larger Nate Diaz, and the fact that Diaz is a Diaz, with a concrete chin, I have no doubt Conor would approach a re-match with a more relaxed first round, expecting a long battle, and looking to land his shots when necessary rather than unloading his arsenal the first round.

I think based on his income, influence, and drive, he has set a stage to build stories, but more importantly fight anyone. What else do you want from a champion?

You've been here since 2004 and this is what you came up with?

Sherdog has gotten to you man.

The ufc punishes fighters for losses, not fans. Fighters who are not in Dana's good graces no a loss could mean getting fired. Even a win might get one tossed under the bus like GSP.

Others have come before conor and they've gotten buried when they've pissed off Dana. It's all about how much the ufc thinks they can control a fighter that determines the push and support they get.

Another company man/woman will come along and we will hear they are the next goat while proven Champs who ask for a little toouch get ignored.

I'm a fan of Conor But a bigger fan of UFC To regain his persona My recommendation would be to give up his 145 belt and Call out Nate @ 155., IF he wins then challenge for 155 belt . Obviously 170 to much of a stretch But no shame in trying infact props for having the balls to do so
