He could easily cash in on another Diaz fight right now, but the man is coming back from a two year layoff to fight against a killer, a russian wrecking machine, a guy that could potentially ruin him, a guy who can/wants to physically disfigure him, end his hype and ruin his reputation, a guy who may very well be on top of him for 25 minutes raining down hellfire only to have the internet and public crucify Conor afterwards like poor Ronda . From the way Khabib sounds in videos, with his ice cold sociopathic demeanor, he literally wants reenact an ISIS video and basically publicly execute Conor: destroy his reputation, his face, his livelihood. Everyone including Conor must be perfectly aware that there is a very good possibility of this happening with his level of top control, GNP and grappling -- Khabib is the one to do it. Yet, I believe that beneath all the bravado, McGregor truly has a warrior spirit and it's not just about the money. There's a lot of guys he could be fighting and maybe he'd only make 80% as much money, but he would assume much less risk and possible damage to his future financial status and health. Conor Anthony McGregor is going out on his shield like the brave 300 who marched to an almost certain death because deep down he is a warrior who wants to test himself, and that is admirable for a man with as much money and opportunity as he currently enjoys.
