Conor was slow and did not fight at his range and Dustin looked huge

Dustin is just skilled in more areas than Conor. Conor had a great prime but he's clearly passed that now. Age, partying and putting too much focus on his boxing probably all played their part in his decline.

He was very flat footed.

He lost his footwork post maymac for whatever reason.
100% right. Stationary and predictable. Changing his fighting style for pure boxing and never being able to go back fucked him up.

Dustin smoked him, made him grapple round 1 to tire him out, beat up his leg, took Conor’s atomic left hand like nothing

Conor is not a boxer, he should not have been trading from that distance with porier.

He should have been patient and fought at range. He has done his best work when he has done this.

Dustin is not the same fighter at 155, Dustin looked huge out there. Conor looked bloated

If you rewatch that Khabib-Dustin fight you will realize how much respect Khabib had for Dustin's hands and power he never entered in his range and he only did once because Dustin rushed him and almost clipped him and after that he never entered that man's range because he saw what happened to Holloway the fight before that he took years off Holloway's life by simply being in his range

Conor looked defeated and lost when he entered the cage .....zero confidence.....Hats off to Dustin .... MMA needs more guys like him

I honestly think half the reason Conor used to destroy people was his pre-fight shit talking. He'd get guys so mad, by the time they got into the octagon, all strategy went out the window and they wanted to kill him. Conor would then make the most of their rage and calmly pick them apart. Humble McGregor will lose 90% of the time.

Mcgregor looked like he had adapted to 155 perfectly well and seemed the more physical man during the first round. Dustin did not look bigger to me at all. They have both gone from 145 to 155 in their own way as they have different body types.

If a guy gasses out in a clinch throwing shoulder strikes, he can’t even be considered in a GOAT conversation.

I love sherdog! So many elite MMAfighters and coaches that take time away from training and are readily available to tell the loser of a fight what they did wrong..Free of charge

drugs, booze, and inactivity.. Chuck Liddell looked like he never was a fighter in the 3rd fight against Tito

which is crazy since he was the same age as george foreman (48) when he fought Shannon Briggs (28) and in my opinion won that fight

Yep, I said it before and I'll say it again - any big solid 155 pounder will take Conor's left hand like nothing. It's the most overrated thing about him and only works on enraged manlets.

Dustin did look huge. His frame was way larger than McGregor's at the weigh ins (perhaps even by a factor of 3)

100%. In all seriousness it played a big role in his admittedly very good wins over Poirier and Aldo.

HIs whole style was predicated on beating manlets - the ability to wind them up something fierce, then the range and timing to catch the raging oncoming manlet with a counter left cross.

Lol now he's passed him prime? Wasn't this the great Conor 2.0 24 hours ago?

Well clearly he's passed his prime. I think anybody can see his performance was poor compared to his previous ones. Being inactive, getting older, becoming a parent, starting a whiskey business and partying on yachts certainly won't do your athletic abilities any favors. Conor declined and Poirier improved since their last fight.

The excuses are hilarious, just say he lost to the better fighter and move forward.

I reckon these excuses would be nonexistent if Conor won huh?

Yet he still desperately wants everyone to believe he's the Mayweather of MMA, lol.

Floyd was just as rich and famous at Conor's age yet still managed to motivate himself enough to fight another 15 or so Championship fights over the next decade without losing his "eye of the Tiger" and "motivation".

This right here my friends is what seperates the legends that will never be forgotten from the flash in the pans that will be nothing more than an answer to a trivia question within a decade or 2 out of the sport.

Well, that and a long list of top 10 wins and Title defense's which Conor has 4 and 0 of, not exactly a solid base for building a lasting legacy, except maybe for the most Titles with the fewest top 10 victories. In that respect he is unpresidented.
I agree with everything you say, except the spelling lol. You're spelling of unprecedented gave me the shivers

That's not an excuse. Poirier is the better fighter clearly, more skills in more areas.
