He was good against the smaller opponent when he could make the weight but go exposed as soon as he faced someone his own size.

I find it a bit sad that his mouth, his ego, and his shitty judgement outside the octagon overshadowed his talent inside it. At least from a media/casual fan perspective. Most regular MMA fans understand his level of awesomeness does not come along very often. He fucking dismantled high level dudes regularly.

All that being said, I think it's good that he is done and that while he helped bring more money and more attention to MMA, he also hurt the sport in some significant ways. He himself was really his own downfall, though.
