Or, actuality is witnessed by all those who are sane and actually matter to the world, instead of fantasy.
Best case likely scenario for Conor: a decision goes down in the manner of Bones vs Gustafsson.
Most likely happening: Aldo decimates Conor in every facet of the game (grappling is least likely to occur, for extended periods, unless Aldo hates [as he should] that Conor disrespects the ground game)
Aldo has been fighting for so long, handling every opponent he's fought as well as he could, and isn't going to pass the torch onto a fighter who fights like he's a pure striker.
Conor is great, but if he was ever going to have an actually substantial chance to beat Aldo, he wouldn't just have hands and a decent chin, he'd have grappling chops (at least defensive) on par with Jose, strong enough to not be embarrassed by Chad before returning the embarrassment in kind, due to shitty judgement on Chad's part. Gunnar Nelson isn't going to be enough, considering Conor's blue belt level (at best) showings, he's gonna need some real deal anti wrestling and anti jitz coaches.
Scenario I'm hoping for? Lawler vs Rory II times the blessing of God and also the aid of JBG's hunger for ultra-violence. Nothing against these two fighter's, it's just time for Aldo to outdo his WEC self once again, and Conor being obliterated would not do UFC, nor it's fans any favors.
