Nate is no mid level 155er. He beat Cowboy last time they fought, he got leg kicked, which is legit by RDA and then stalled to death, Pettis has never had the balls to fight him (which would be a really cool fight), Eddie and him haven't had the chance to hook em up, so the guys ahead of him in the division are not far enough above him to call him mid to high, he is a high level 155er. All of that being said this fight should definitely take place at 155. Nate doesn't want Robbie because "that's Nick's fight" Conor would get destroyed by the top 5 WW. So it should become a 155 title eliminator obviously. I know AH is rarely wrong and I love the guy but hopefully this time his information he got has sense been rethought.

I doubt it was even Conor's idea for welterweight regardless of what Dana says. not that they're making him fight at 170 but rather Conor will fight anyone, anywhere as long as the check cashes. Being able to use Conor in 3 weight classes gives the UFC more blockbuster matchups. They're trying to so hard to sprinkle McGregor stock everywhere. Not only are they happy that Conor is FW champion but I'm sure they are thrilled that belt is no longer around Jose's waist.

Conor and the UFC wants him take the fight at 170 that way if he loses he can still fight for the LW title because that fight "did not matter" because it was a different weight. If Conor wins, he gets the option to fight for the WW or LW title. Every move is planned out.
