I knew it!!! Aldo doesn't hate Conor. My buddy confirmed it, Aldo simply wised up to this "entertainment" side of MMA. Before Conor, he did his job which is to fight and that's it and his opponents were on the same page with him.

With the arrival of Conor, he ended up outside his elements and overwhelmed. Like Nick Diaz who had to learn "how to play the game" Aldo has learned how to play the game as well!

At first I thought it was a bitch move of Aldo to tweet it but now in the Conor interview, Conor is offended and would rather give Aldo the first crack as oppose to Frankie. Aldos method worked and Conor took the bait.

As much as I dislike it and preferred the quiet, martial artist non circus style, this is what generates interest so fuck it, go full WWE Aldo! "Go get some fans!"

I like a good fighting style as oppose to trash talk but shit talking may suit Aldo.

Idk he just seems salty to me.

I think it's more that Conor feels Aldo is an easier matchup for him than Edgar. Edgar is a bad style matchup for Conor, the only question mark with him is that he's not very big.

He may be and he would have a good reason to be salty. But he has learned from the Conor situation that shit talking does pay the bills.

He may also learn that shit talking AFTER you lost is much less effective and makes you appear salty and desperate. Unless you're Chael Sonnen of course, but at least Chael gave Silva a hell of a fight.

If it's genuine, let it go. But when it's forced, I think It's not interesting at all. Jones vs dc is real, but Tony vs khabib is dumb. I was already interested in finding out who was next for rda.

He knows it's the only way to get that UFC 200 spot and the big fat paycheck that comes with it.

It doesn't matter at this point, he's the champion @ 145. He cant pick and choose anymore as he has nothing but top fighters to face. Mendes, Aldo, Edgar, Holloway, Lamas. Those are are all top fighters, that he can't run away from.

i like your nikcname and your av (Shazam had a very glorius death in The Dark Knight Strikes Back) but i don't agree.

"be yourself Jose, people like and respect real people while the 'characters' last until the trend changes"

Aldo has a personal story that is movie's material, there's a lot to learn by his (true) story.
in a good world (i don't want to say 'perfect') Aldo'd be THE role model.

and, to make a comparison, even today in Italy (where young people are clones of the 'american youth' showed by tv and shit like the modern MTV) a guy like him'd be a national hero.
Even in this niche sport.

Damn, even Sakara who's in no way succesful like Aldo is hightly respected here (he's a celebrity) but not because he mess people's face for a living but because he was a poor kid from a bad enviroment that makes himself only with his will and choose to remain in his place to help kids like his old boxing coach did for him.

Chael Sonnen had a unique trash talking game. His was openly ridiculous and comedic. Under normal situations I would agree with you, but in Aldos case, it seems to be working based on the video down here:

This is the video I am talking about, Conor is upset that Aldo made that tweet and is leaning to fight Aldo as oppose to Edgar. Good move by Aldo.

Around 2:00 he mentions Aldo:

Conor said straight after the fight that Aldo deserves rematch, before any of Aldos tweets, not really taking the bait is it?

He also said that "Aldo doesn't show up as much as he should so there is a case for Frankie" After the tweet, he is more leaning towards Aldo. Nice job nitpicking the quotes...

Frankie has fought more than half his career fighting bigger guys he will be fine..

True, he did great against Ben Henderson and Ben fought and beat a giant welterweight. Not using MMath, but my point is, Edgar has fought bigger guys than him who are also quality fighters.

he already beat 2 of those guys tho
