Ever been in a situation like the Conor/ Dana white special treatment thing? please share.... Sales jobs have this issue constantly from my experiences and it must be handled properly..
Conor vs Ufc/ Dana is a very common phenomenon in life. Working in Car Sales for a year and then Real Estate for many years the top producers always receive some special treatment but its a fine line on how far they can push it. No Salesman is bigger than the brand or company so if they try to gain too much power they will usually get told no to excessive demands. Also its a fine line in how the other employees morale is affected by giving special treatment. To some degree its a motivating factor for the salespeople to work harder and sell more to get some extra leeway, but if the top guys get treated like gods and the rest get shitted on then it kills the entire morale of the company and can ruin the business. I think Dana is trying to keep the peace and morale of the UFC as high as he can and doing the best he can. Conor is also doing what he feels is right for him, so I dont blame either one of them.. But I hope at end of the day they can just resolve this and let the fight happen for the fans.

.... i don't know if this is going to go well for you, TS

would you really create a new name to post something this odd?

Ive been in sales for 20 years.

NO ONE SALE IS EVER WORTH THE DIMISHIMENT OF THE BRAND.

Rolled my eyes when I read the headline, but your story was pretty legit. Good analogy. Thanks for the post.

Thanks Man I edited it to make it shorter lol... I just think this is a very common scenario that is part of human history and human psycology, we just dont usually see it in public and on twitter. But anyone that has had a job or been part of something has seen or experienced something similiar to what is going on I think. Some special treatment is ok in my opinion and is even deserved, but when it goes too far and gets out of hand it can have more severe consequences that outwiegh the value of the person that is getting the special treatment. IMO what conor is asking is not anywhere near that point yet. And he has "earned " this one time pass on this press event like he said. Im hoping at this point Dana and the UFC and Conor are already back on good terms and going to have conor headline 200 , but are just milking this "soap opera" for all they can. I think they will keep milking it all the way up to about 2 weeks before 200 and "magically" Nate's opponent will end up "hurt" or RDA's opponent, or Aldo will end up "hurt" just at the perfect time for Conor to come to the rescue. This will allow Dana to "save face" and not look like he gave into to conor but is just letting conor back on 200 only because of the "injury" that will just magically happen 2 weeks out. That is what I would do if I was the UFC and conor. It will keep the internet buzzing non stop and then climax 2 weeks out when Conor is allowed in due to an "injury"

Conor has majorly disrespected the UFC brass with his ridiculous post that he is back on 200, unless this is some drama dreamed up by the UFC itself.

I am a huge fan of Conor's, but he gets no support on this one.

Substitute sales job with LIFE in general. Those that excel are treated differently. Always... and it is fair.

Yes. Specifically in sales. I was in sales once and one guy was the top dog and got away with different things. He doesn't work there anymore.

IMO it's more like poker..... He overplayed his hand, tried to bluf but got called

Well you are a hater then and probably the salesguy that sells like 3 cars a month then bitches all day about how the top guys get to leave early from work and have hot girlfriends while you have to come early saturday morning to put out all the balloons and stay late and lock all the cars and have a fat ugly girlfriend.. you can either be inspired by the success of others or you can hate them and stay the guy that is known as a bitch complainer at work and life!

How is the Pensacola MMA scene these days anyway?

I sold four cars May 1996 I'll have you know, and Bertha lost three pounds this week. 247 to go and she'll be back to her high school weight.

Its actually awesome! Island Fights is getting huge! They are very close to a TV Deal. They pack out the Pensacola Arena downtown on the regular and usually have several big ufc names in attendance. Dean Toole and his team has really done something special with Island Fights.. wont be surprised if it becomes a household name and shown on national tv for now on.

If ufc wanted to an kept ignoring Conor and not giving him big platform Conor would sink

Ufc has that power

Conor only is popular cos of ufc otherwise he's just shouting into a void

Ufc is the platform and they can remove that platform anytime they want
