He's not retiring fellas, and I can tell you precisely why:

A. His ego is far too bloated. Plain and simple. If he was actually retiring, he'd make a HUGE deal about it instead of...tweeting gently into that good night.

B. He's scheduled to fight a fellow blood and guts fighter...and regardless of what people say, he does theoretically have a decent chance of beating Nate this time around. That said, do I think he's going to win...fuck no, but if he comes in with mad cardio...it could be a fight, as I envision Nate fighting harder instead of smarter unfortunately.

C. He fucking knows that he CANNOT compete with the top guys at 170... He fucking knows that his days of fighting midgets at 145 are over... Which leaves 155, and he is fully aware of the fact that it's going to be...ROUGH, therefore, if he did have retirement plans in mind, it would be a MILLION times better for him to do so right after UFC 200...(possibly in the octagon after losing to Nate once again) as he would NOT want to miss out on that final payday.

D. Last but not least, there is a good chance that he's planting a seed in case Nate OWNS him again...while selling wolf tickets at the same time.

In conclusion, he may retire soon, but it's definitely not going to be right now, unless he's severely injured, but even if that was the case, I highly doubt he'd announce it in such an odd roundabout way.

P.S. IF he's actually retiring right now...followed by Ronda retiring in the near future... Whoa. Good times. :D

Agreed

It's a power struggle

The retirement seems a hissy fit reaction to try prove his worth

Or

It's legit and he's jumping into a different Org and it's all about money

He isn't retiring though no way

Easy come, easy go. Bring on the next Flavor of the Month.

Can't jump to a different org, Dana will sue him into bankruptcy. I guarandamntee no UFC fighter can get out of their contract by retiring.
