Conor mentally breaking Dustin

This isn’t going to be like the cowboy fight. Poirer is extremely capable. He’s very durable and tough. Poirer is going to take Conor deep, and make him earn this win. Conor better have the cardio to go 5 rounds, because he very well might be forced to.

If Conor does manage to finish Poirer in convincing fashion, then he needs to be fighting for a title next.

true. but the key here is in the first 2 rounds. dustin has to know he can't go charging at Mcg like Alvarez did and get tagger; Mcg can be a jabroni but he still packs more power than Hooker, he has to move a lot and let Mcg get frustrated and come to him and use wrestling.

Mcg's greatest wins are with either opponents were too hesistant or aggresive. khabib didn't went too aggresive on striking and too hesitant.

I don’t think you’re going to see Dustin come out like he did last time. I think he knows his best chance is to take Conor to 5 rounds. Dustin goes deep consistently. And if Conor has any weaknesses it’s his cardio and ground game. Dustin doesn’t have the assets to cash in on wrestling, so I’d expect him to push cardio

So has Conor

nice back of the head strikes from this cheating sociopath

Since that fight Poirier has gone 10-2-0-1 and established himself as a top LW.

McGregor has retired, unretired, been arrested, done a bunch of drugs, tried boxing, started a brand of mediocre whiskey, tweeted a whole lot, and fought less than once a year.

There is every reason to think that.
your listing a load of stuff there thats completely irrelevant. tweeting so what? setting up a shitty whiskey company and what? retiring unretiring means nothing and Dustin has 2 loses and a no contest in that same period.

plenty of people take recreational drugs. As I said conor is viewed as scum in ireland so i don't have his back or anything like that but the list you made is just a bunch of words cobbled together like it was some sort of valid argument and its has no relevance to anything. The only part with relevance is boxing and im sure his boxing experience will harm him vs the diamond.

The thing about Mcgregor is that he is so so relaxed in the fight.

Poirier is an exceptional athlete, but mentally he can be beat.

If Poirier doesn't get flustered mentally and keeps moving and keeps calm and drags him into the later rounds, for sure he might grind out a win.

But I think the occasion will get to him, he'll get tagged early, mentally give up, and that's all she wrote.

I respectfully disagree Sherbro!

I feel like this will go similar to the first fight tbh, Poirier has improved, but I don't really see any of those improvements making a difference in this matchup. Fundamentally it's just a bad matchup for Dustin, and Conor hits way harder now. Dustin has taken loads of damage since then as well, and I don't see him outgrappling Conor, unless he's gassed out/hurt badly. Wouldn't be surprised if it goes like the Eddie fight even, Dustin is still wide open to counters

hopefully.

In Mike Swick's podcast he asked Javier Mendez about the outcome of some matches and one of them was Mcg vs dustin: he said that on standing Mcg beats him due to precision UNLESS HE TAKES HIM DOWN. he said dustin isn't a TD artist. I hope dustin realizes this and train a lot of wrestling/footwork to avoid the left hand to beat mcg, otherwise he'll get ko in 2.

I don’t think a takedown is the way to go. I think having fought khabib, and mendes Conor is pretty well trained on sprawl and brawl. I think mixing in clinch work would work well.

Keep the boxing to a minimum and take connor down . much safer there . Maybe he can gas him out in 2 or 3
I was taking the piss.

Dustin got subbed much faster than Khabib so maybe he'd want to try and not get subbed first.
