*Conor McGregor Vs Takanori Gomi: The fight we all fans want*

So, i was thinking, which should be McGregor's next opponent, so he don't get outgrappled, schooled again on the ground. It has to be my man, my all-time favorite fighter:

Takanori "The Fireball Kid" Gomi!!!!!

I mean, this is a win-win fight.

Conor nuthuggers would be excited to see their idol fight for redemption against a boxer, a brawler with no intentions to go to the ground.

On the other hand, Gomi deserves this fight. This vpuld be his last fight on the UFC, maybe on MMA. He deserves to get a big purse, on a big main event fight.

Said all that, WAR GOMI!!!

Gomi from 2005? Sure! That would be fire works. Gomi now?? Shit, Joe Lauzon knocked him out cold. I'd love a scenario where Gomi hadouken punches a hole through Conor's face, but let's be honest here... Gomi would get flattened.

whatever, does it even matter anymore who deserves what fight in today's ufc? this would be fun, old man gomi would probably get knocked out but who know he might wing a punch that flattens conor too....plus like you said i'd like to see gomi get paid....hate conor or not at least he gets his opponents paid like they finally deserve..all retirement fights should be against conor so they can go out with some money

Let's go even farther. Conor had a lot of his fans believing size didn't matter and he could beat anyone. Why not have Conor vs Jones or Conor vs Werdum if it's all about fights the fans want to see? I'd love seeing either of those matchups and I bet i'm not alone.

Gomi wouldn't sell this fight at all and casuals wouldn't be too interested. At least Nate is a thugly guy from Stockton, so the match-up gets people talking.
