Conor McGregor took harder challenges by moving up to 170 and 155 than defending belt

Did McGregor take on tougher challenges by moving up in weight?

the harder challenge would have been to make weight and defend the fucking belt - quit giving this shithead points for nothing

Harder than moving up in weight and winning the title? That's just stupid.
Yes we get you hate him. He's a complete cunt of a man but winning a title in a higher weight class isn't nothing.
He was supposed to fight RDA who lost to Alvarez. If its so easy why hasn't anyone else moved up from FW as champ and done the same? Volk? Holloway even Aldo?

Whatever Conor did to even be mentioned on Forbes top earning athletes and even number 1 one year..................yeah, he made all the right moves regardless of sherdoggers think.

The real challenge in MMA isn't the fighter across from you in the cage, its making life changing money in your MMA career.

1. Why would I bring up Faber? Aldo fought McGregor sandwiched in between Mendes 2 and Frankie 2. That why I mentioned those fights because those fights are a good indication of his cardio at the time. Aldo never even fought Faber in the UFC. Tf would I mention him for?

2. Yes Nate is longer but he's no where as quick as Aldo (or Frankie or Mendes for the record). And Nate has always had issues with his quicker opponents. At that time Aldo was beating Frankie and making it look easy. The same Frankie who lost his LW title in a split decision to Benson; the same Benson who 50-43 Nate. I mean Frankie and Nate were in the same division at the same time. Frankie got his title shot because Nate had a number 1 contenders fight against Maynard (Maynard won) that was so atrocious that DW gave Frankie a TS coming off a win against Sherk (or Hermes I can't remember). The he won and went to defend the LW. No one would have favored Nate Diaz over Frankie Edgar at the time. You can try and revise history all you want and try to make Diaz a world breaker but that's the truth. And to say that Aldo at the time wouldn't beat Nate during that time is just plain MMA ignorance and fanboyism. This is the same Nate who was losing to Clay Guida and Joe Stevenson.

I like your post.... I've been shocked at the Excellence Aldo has shown at 135... I always wanted Aldo to go ahead and eat so he could try out 155... He was always noted to be a HUGE 145er eh? And then he dropped down ?!?!?!? What a surprise...

One of the biggest things I've wanted to see in MMA was 155 Aldo... But never will happen... Too late

You remember the big announcement Aldo was going to make after he beat McGregor?

That big announcement was he was finally going to drop the FW belt and fight for the LW. The UFC always gave Aldo a free pass to fight for the LW if he relinquished the FW title first. Well he was going to do it.

But then McGregor knocked him out in 14 seconds and everything else is history. I would've favored Aldo over Pettis and Alvarez. RDA is a toss up in my book.
