Conor McGregor; The story so far

Why do you assume he isn't training hard and sharpening his skills ?

He seems to have posted many training pics/vids in the past 6 months.

I say he comes back with the best hands he has ever had.

And you said nothing like that in your post anyway.

You said "what comes up must come down".

Just a blanket, generalized statement that a hater would make.
His hands aren't the problem numb nuts it's his overall skill set.

He won't have anymore easy fights. There is no picking.

It's put up or shut up time

He should be learning the ground game, working on cardio.

Working on ways to stay dominant

I don't need to hate.

Complacency kills , and his octagon return will show

While he's acting a fool the challengers are sharpening their tools
If you think Conor spending a year on boxing isn't him "sharpening his tools"... well, I don't know what to tell you. His striking's been in a class of its own so far, and he's spent a year on focusing on improving it -- when/if he returns, he's going to be a nightmare for anyone to fight.

The diaz loss really takes from his legacy lol he could have played off his old losses as not having his heart in the sport yet. But the diaz loss demystified him greatly. And he didnt even avenge that loss. If someone finishes you and you beat them in an extremely close rematch, that isnt evening the score. Also the fact that its nate fucing diaz. Maybe if it was against robbie lawler or something that would be fucking impressive and na understandable loss since thats a huge weightclass for him and robbie is champ. But its to a lightweight gatekeeper. Which is HIS weightclass

Nates win was a pussy win.
Get your face bashed in for 7 minutes straight and hope your opponent gasses out and gives you a choke on a platter.
Conor's win was glorious.
Rearranging Nates face and giving him brain damage while keeping up with Nates cardio.
Knocking him on his ass and humiliating him by turning Nate into a pathetic butt scooter.
<{Heymansnicker}>

You should just be happy that Nate was chosen by Conor to receive a red panty night and nobody will have to start a go fund me for Nate in a few years so he can still afford some chronic.

Stopped reading after the first sentence. Hop off his cock

Rid your bum soul of its bitterness and jealousy.
I'm sure whatever fighter of yours that Conor has smashed will be OK bro.

Eventually.

1: Conor will - win or lose against Floyd - still be allowed to pick his fights. He's still the face of the UFC and probably the face of martial arts by now. But don't ever say he's ducking other fighters, if the money is right, he'll accept any challenger. He can handle a loss - I thought he was pretty gracious in losing to Diaz. He faced Aldo, signed up for RDA, went two weight classes up to face Diaz twice, faced Alvarez at a higher weightless and now he's competing in another sport and facing the best technician that sport has ever seen. Hard to argue that Conor's afraid of being challenged, that's a very dumb statement, if that's what you were insinuating.

2: Conor's glaring weakness is his ground game, but don't you think he's working on that already? His coach, Kavanagh, is primarily a Jiu Jitsu practitioner and he hired Dillon Danis to roll around with everyday. Conor will never be a "complete" fighter in the mould of a guy like DJ, but his pure striking and cage IQ makes up for it. Btw. ever since the Mendes fight, he's been pretty hard to take down and his accuracy makes it harder for opponents too close the distance and grab him. I think you're putting too much stock in him losing to Nate via a choke: Conor was GASSED. He fucked up, didn't think straight and started to panic wrestle, setting himself up for that choke.

3: In the rematch vs Nate he focused heavily on his stamina, as he realised it cost him the first fight. He kept up with Nate for 5 rounds in that fight, that's pretty impressive considering it's Nate fucking Diaz and that they fought at 170.

What an ignorant statement..You're the fool. After all hes done, If there's one person in MMA who is not complacent it's Conor Mcgregor.

Conor didn't choose Nate. Nate stepped in on short notice to save the event than RDA pulled out of.
Also, Nate got the choke cause Conor panic wrestled after Nate rocked him with a 1-2 when MMA boxing is supposed to be Conor's main specialty. The Conor announces retirement(publicity stunt) to get the rematch.
The second match was a close fight, though Conor won.
All the other LWs that beat Nate, did it a lot more convincingly and easily. Conor struggled like Nate is deep waters.

That's some nice revisionist history you've got there.

Conor absolutely chose Nate. It's just a fact.
Gassing out was Conor's demise, not Nates 1-2 lol. It's the only way Nate lands anything decent.
Nate has nothing for Conor in the stand up unless Conor is completely exhausted.
We've seen obvious proof of that in both fights.
Nate isn't even close to Conor in boxing. He's a bean pole with reach, chi n and cardio.

well idk about that, cardio/gassing is a part of the game. It's no different than saying he got caught, if only chin was stronger he could have got up instead of going to sleep. Ali tired out Foreman when Foreman had apocalypse in his hands.
I'm just saying that the second fight was Nate's closest loss ever.

Cardio is a big part of the game that Conor failed at miserably in the first fight. He really underestimated Nates chin and thought it was gonna be over in 1 rd.
Zombie Nate showed up and Conor couldn't hold his arms up anymore and got clipped and subbed.

I'm not sure that's the same thing as just "getting caught".

Second fight was close on the score cards I guess but I felt it was clear that conor won 3-2.
3 knock downs and bloodying up Nates face counts for a lot.
Even in the second fight if you look at the only times that Nate did well it was when Conor gasses, while Conor does well while Nate is still fresh.

You bring up Nates past opponents who beat him, but not many had to go 5 rds with Nate. That's a big difference.

Doesn't matter. I'm just calling out his statement as a "woulda-coulda-shoulda", the guy im replying to. that's why I'm comparing it "getting caught". NO different, than some dumbasses in boxing saying "Marquez just caught Manny" as if they didn't have close fights with eachother before. gas tank, chin, strength, technique, etc... are all part of the fighter that play into a fight.

He has a great story, dude is obsessed and got what he worked for can't hate him for that .
