Conor McGregor speaking Irish?

98% of the people on this thread are foreigners and/or imposters and have no idea what they are talking about but feel entitled to tell you about what's what in Ireland due to their stupidity and mass media propaganda.

Gaelic is actually sort of fashionable now and is pushed in schools and universities and by the government everywhere. It's on signs and in the media. From memory it's about 8% of people who have it as their first language but there are quite a lot who can speak a little, go to evening classes etc. To say that it's making a comeback might be an overstatement but it is growing. Anyway many of the people from whom the Irish are descended did not speak Gaelic, or switched to it from their native languages over the generations (English, Norwegian, Welsh, prehistoric languages).
Yeah, I knew the native language number was small. I knew it was having a resurgence in popularity and thought like 20% could speak it weup ll enough for it to be considered a second language for them.

People out here on sherdog just making shit up
