Yes Conor doesn’t bring in PPVs, instead he brings in massive subscription increases. He will bring people in the paramount ecosystem, both encouraging them to watch more ufc and other services on paramount.

Conor is the biggest star in the sport, he has heaps of leverage. He will bring the most eyes. The UFC is not the A side. They need him badly.

Casuals don’t care how often he wins. Just like no casual really watched or knew of Merab despite his dominance.
