I saw what he was for the most part when he jumped in the cage at that MMA event way back around 2017 and tried to hit that ref. It was confirmed for me he was garbage when he hit the old guy in the bar. The things people have been willing to immediately forgive that guy for...SMH
 
So this guy basically woke up from a three-year bender and just hit reality. Hi Conor, welcome back to Earth, the sport passed you by, you couldn’t commit to shit in the fight game in half a decade, and that includes failing to enter the USADA testing pool on time to make the ninetieth promised amazing comeback that never was.

Yessir. I appreciated him a lot in the lead up to the Aldo fight, and was impressed with that KO... But I was off the wagon shortly afterward. I was most impressed with his self-belief which later turned out to just be his absolutely unchecked ego, and here we are.

Took a long while in this thread but I'm glad someone identified the right answer.

UFC is beyond corrupt enough to let him break the rules. They did it for Brock, they did it for Jon... people have to be morons to repeatedly see the org is corrupt to the core and then say "wow they're totally not corrupt now though!"

Conor not fighting is due to Conor choosing not to fight. Certainly not UFC trying to be non-corrupt lol. Conor has been utterly broken mentally for years now. The fact he announced this after watching the Weidman fight likely isn't a huge coincidence. He knows he's done. It'll take who knows how long of cocaine-fueled delusion before he tricks himself into thinking he can compete again.
 
Called it from the beginning that he'd use that he's being withheld from making his living to try and get the exemption.
