News Conor McGregor on targeted December return: "They're not going to let me fight"

Is this the first official sign Dana doesn't need Conor anymore since he has not one but two replacements in Garry and O'Malley? I say yes.

I'm also waiting for someone--anyone--to slap the "conspiracy theorist" label on Conor like people do to everyone else who claims there's a devious, dastardly, diabolical plot afoot to prevent them from doing something. I have a feeling I'll die of old age first, though. <45>

I just feel if he wanted to he would find a way since he has all the money and recourses available. I think the leg break traumatized him and destroyed any confidence he had left. He knows if he takes another L his career is over

You're projecting too hard. He wants to fight, he's under contract with the UFC, and wants to do MMA. He would do Bare Knuckle but I'm pretty sure contractual restrictions prevent him from doing so.

Oh the old “I want to fight but they won’t let me! Because I don’t want to adhere to the rules!”

UFC maintaining a modicum of legitimacy still apparently. Glad to hear it. No one is bigger than the game.

He’s scared to fight and take another L

O'Malley maybe, but no one cares about Garry.

Except for everybody who participated in the thread I saw about him (there may be more than one thread for all I know) and Dana, you're kinda sorta right I guess.

Seriously, it's obvious Garry's the next guy who's getting that big pro wrestling-style push. Whether anyone cares or not.

It depends on what he's taking. The detection science keeps getting better and better, and USADA doesn't disclose every update to their testing mechanisms, so masking agents might fail. I think he wants to fight, but he will look significantly different once forced to stay clear of juice for a substantive period leading to a fight.

I think its also a real possibility he went off PEDS in advance of this fight, but privately is still failing.

There is no way in the world he would risk getting a suspension, surely he's been privately paying for his own PEDS tests that are to the WADA standard.

If he's got something that keeps flagging, here we are. He would need someone to intervene and basically change the rules for him.

They need to get rid of him, he’s pathetic. He acts like he wants to fight and then something always comes up. When fighters close to his weight class win he has to try to steal the moment from them. He needs to maybe go to WWE since he can juice all he wants and continue being a drama queen
To be fair, he would probably have to work harder in WWE than he does now - not even in the scripted matches themselves, but showing up consistently to do promos and whatnot. He wasn't keen on doing scheduled media appearances even back in his hey day, and now he seems less delendable / professional than ever.

He brought this on to himself. They could have waived him through quietly under the guise of a short notice fight. He had to post all these pictures of him having new muscle. He also had to publicly flaunt that he was going to get a waiver.
