Conor McGregor - "I wake up at 168lbs"

It's a weird thing to say given that "making weight" almost always means being at or below a certain weight, not being at or above it.

Yeah, but realistically 95% of the fighters cut weight.

There are small exceptions like Conor and Gunnar who fight at WW and don't cut any weight at all.

Yes, the guy who needs to cut weight from 180+ is eating steaks on monday. ZERO signs of cutting weight. Tin foil hat son. Get em.
Eating steaks doesn't prevent you from cutting. He's cutting a minimal amount as compared to before. What is so confusing about this to you? If he was cutting over thirty pounds before and he's cutting less than half of that now, of course he doesn't need to go to the extremes he normally does.

Conor is fighting a LW fighter at WW. It's not exactly like he's moving up to fight a legit 170 lb fighter who enters the cage at significantly more than that. Conor is not an "exception" that fights at his walk around weight. He's one of the worst offenders of cutting massive amounts to have a size advantage. lol

He's really playing this up. He's a 155lb fighter that kills himself to make 145 so he can fight smaller guys. Nate is a 155lb that has no business fighting at 170. This is a 155lb fight taking place at 170, so neither really cuts. The difference between the two is Conor cuts less to make 155 than Nate. Other than that, they're at the same weight class.

"I wake up at..." often means that you are partially cutting already. It just means he won't have to do any cutting the day of the fight if he maintains that level of hydration, and can rehydrate fully on the day of the fight.

At the workout event. He confirmed that he wakes up at 168, and makes 170 after eating breakfast.

He looks absolutely sharp at the work out session. No surprise that Nate's became a even bigger underdog after this. Conor looking like a monster.
Next time he wakes up, it'll be after taking a little nap thanks to a Nate Diaz Triangle Choke!

Conor is a FW fighter himself, and he's jumping up 2 weight divisions above.
Nate will have to cut a limp of his to make FW.

he eats 9 pounds of steak and potatoes? gtfo. someone already pointed out he walks around at 177 (which you just admitted). you don't shit out 9 pound turds mate.
'you do realize water is a big thing here??

Fucking amateur, dont tallk about this shit when ur clearly a novice in nutrition.

Ever heard of water weight?

He weighs in at 160 here the day before weigh in and hes way smaller and much leaner I dont understand how hes only 168 now while not cutting any weight

That makes a little more sense then some of the ass hat posters around here saying he weighs 180. Diaz is going to come in weighing more than Conor

Conor is a huge FW that has fought as many fights at LW as he has FW, I believe, if not more. Prior to the UFC he was more of a LW fighter. He was putting weight on for the 155 lb fight; he would have been a legit 155er in terms of size, and actually a large one, make no mistake. He is visibly a bigger fighter than in any of his other UFC fights if you have any observational skills whatsoever. So, he was a 155 lb fighter coming in for a 155 lb fight and is fighting another 155 lb fighter coming in on short notice, but with the mutual agreement that neither needs to cut. He's not moving up at a disadvantage. He has the advantage. He's fighting a roughly equal-sized opponent with a full training camp behind him.

Nate would only need to cut a limb off if he tried to do make that cut right now, just like if Conor was scheduled to fight at 145 and moved up to face a 170 lb fighter, your point would be valid. I don't think Conor would make 145 lbs right now either and if he was this size and hadn't had a full training camp, he sure as hell wouldn't. Neither of those is relevant to the actual situation at hand. Nate could go super-skinny and make 145 given dieting and focused training to get down to super lean and thin. There was a 6'4" guy at 145 that fought in the UFC. Roop is a currrent UFC 135er and he is taller than Nate.

You were saying you little dweeb?

Any time someone criticizes the guy you worship like your Father do your panties get in a bunch? I'm sorry those balls are so deep in your esophagus you can't think straight or for yourself. Continue to genuflect in awe before the greatness of Cloner. Great fighter with a lot of histrionics, too bad you took it to heart, lol.
