Oh look another video with he paid yes men trying to make him look good. The only skills he has is tapping.

I wonder how much bonus his yes man gets for allowing him subs?

Jokes aside, I said it when I watched him fight Khabib years ago - Khabib had a lot more trouble on the ground with Conor than I'd ever have suspected and more trouble than a lot of other guys gave him as well. Conor actually got up from under him at least once, if I recall correctly.

So maybe yes men is really the way forward!
I belive he got up 3 times and stuffed a few tds in the 3rd aswell

That's not full guard. It's a cross armbar from mount.

He looks fine. His training partner isn't really doing anything so it's hard to judge but the sweep was good. Armbar was good. Rnc from back mount was good. There's not much to really dig into.

facts! when Conor struggles against grapplers its because of his gas tank not the lack of skills.
No it's both. He's gassed but that doesn't excuse having the wrong answer for defending himself. Conor is a good grappler. He struggled against GREAT grapplers. Skill is the determining factor

I gave him credit then and I'll give him credit now.

I also give him credit for mentally leading Khabib during that fight. He fooled Khabib into choking him out. Khabib went in there to rearrange his face permanently, as he had claimed he would do.

And he could have done it. But Conor was a masterful mental player. He squirmed to escape and then slickly gave up his neck when he was done with the contest. IF Khabib had been calm enough to remember his stakes he would have detected "Oh - you're done done??" and taken his time destroying Conor's face slowly enough to not have the fight stopped before major damage was inflicted.

But Conor led him. Gave him the neck and played a trick on all the years of Khabib's training, relying on his automatic reaction to go for the choke. And got out without a scratch!

Genius play by Conor, to my mind. It was the one truly brilliant thing he did in that fight - end it 100% on his own terms. "Ok, you win, you win. Forget destroying my face, buddy, just choke me out"

By the time Khabib realized what had transpired he was overflowing with rage and regret, lol. Had to jump out the cage to take it out on Dillon Danis. If he had taken a round or two to batter Conor beyond recognition like he originally went in there to do, he would have simply laughed Dillon off. But he had been fooled and Conor stole his prize. Khabib had to leave with only the victory, the finish, and the belt.

If he'd have remembered to disfigure Conor, he probably would have buried the hatchet with him and they'd have a friendly enough rivalry today. But he lost his chance to get his frustrations out so they live with him forever as it relates to Conor.

That's not an armbar from guard but he is a black belt so yes he can grapple
Indeed! As legit as it gets!

Big difference between mount and closed guard.

I don’t understand why everyone is so impressed with that arm bar and setup. Some are acting like that only black belts can do that. Stfu and train.

Black belt LMAO

He's practicing moves on the barista from the Starbucks down the street from his gym who pays $39/month for a gym membership.

It's weird to me that you hate someone so much that even if they train for 10+ years in a martial art you discredit them. Go outside brother.

He had an mma championship fight with Khabib.

He can grapple, he's probably brown belt / black belt level, just not a top competition level at those belts.

Belt level doesn't really matter hugely at comp level, a really good competition blue could probably tap that average athleticism 38 year old black belt at your school.

Belts are around knowledge not necessarily competency in hard going sparring or comp as much.

Heaps of drop ins at my school, skills range very widely.

I made fun of him so I must "hate someone so much" LMAO

Maybe it's you who should touch grass... <{Heymansnicker}>

I really shouldn't pick on people who have underlying severe mental illness. I'll leave you be. Don't hurt anyone. Stay away from women and children.

Conor is a solid blaclbelt... You know the guys who submitted him are kinda world class.
