Conor McGregor Haters Admit It

If that's the case then Anderson SIlva is the best thing that ever happened to the UFC.

He never pulled out of a fight.

Always had exciting fights with LOL moments

When he was champion he fought 2-3 times a year (07-08 6x, 09-13 10x)

He went up in weight class 3 times and fought really big 205'ers including a one fight off Champion.

He accepted fights with guys who didn't make weight (Travis Lutter)

He saved cards he wasn't even fighting on by stepping up in short notice (SIlva vs Bonnar)

He made Weidmen, Diaz, Sonnen, Bonnar and Belfort all recieve a half a million dollars show money just to fight. Might I add this was in 2011-2015.

Conor fans should be kneeling down before Anderson Silva for making so much highlight reel moments, providing pure entertainment and making dudes rich during his 7 year reign.

He definitely should have earned some goddwill with the fans.

He's cashed it all in with this rematch though.

For all the hate you may give him for his persona. This dude is one of the best things to happen to the UFC.

Obviously financially. But more so reliability wise. He hasn't ever pulled out due to past injuries. He didn't pull out on an opponent change like others have. He fights often.

The dude moved up two weight classes to save a main event. For all the shit he may talk. At least he follows through on what he says.

Cain, Werdum, Jones, Cruz, Pettis, RDA, Aldo, ect. A good portion of our champions and former have been absolutey unreliable or unprofessional when it comes to taking a fight.

In closing, tank him.

Edit: Is he fighting above 155? Yes. Then he did move up two classes. Suck it and tank him.

I'll give him credit for all ways being reliable and making the UFC interesting. It's more the biased push he's getting and his delusional fans and attitude that make me dislike him.

UFC needs fighters with star power, and no matter who those personalities may be people will love or hate them.

Then you got some people that are sort of in the middle like me. I like his fights, very entertaining but I never saw him as the 2nd coming of jesus nor did I utterly doubt him. Of course I was skeptical leading up to the Mendes fight as to what people were saying about him and still they say dumb things.. but he's a great fighter, entertaining guy, good for the sport.

It's his fans I dislike.

Cerrone has never pulled out of a fight and fought when he had the same injury as Aldo. The UFC made Connie. This fight will be tougher than people think. Nate doesnt fall into the head games. Head games has won Connie his last few fights.

Cerrone is def another fighter who the UFC and the fans should be grateful for.

He is more hype than substance at this point and that is very easy to dislike.

And fighting a LW at WW is not moving up 2 weight classes. Fighting a WW at WW would be moving up 2 weight classes. If he truly wanted to fight a WW I'm sure that MacDonald, Woodley, Condit, Hendricks, Maia etc, would be happy to welcome him to the division with an embarrassingly epic ass kicking.

I'm not concerned with the UFC's bottom line, and I don't hate fighters for pulling out of fights, it happens.

The two weight class jump thing is just silly.

So... whatever.

When the Conor fanbase keep using the phrase "haters gonna hate" to justify whatever actions of his that might be called in to question is tantamount to saying that standards of common sense and decency don't apply to Conor and that no matter what Conor do, no matter how foolish and reprehensible, normal MMA fans are not allowed to reprimand Conor for that action because that makes them a "hater" and you're simply "hating" out of jealousy or other irrational bullshit like "Herp he destroyed your favorite fighters derp"

The overabundance of the word "Hater" word in this day and age just one example of how the Conor fanbase are being lead down a dangerous path of unprecedented ignorance, apathy and vanity.

Calling someone a "hater" because they said some criticism about Conor makes the member of the Conor fanbase look ignorant or stupid for giving negative feedback, basically dismissing an argument without addressing it by using a personal insult.
I was called a hater in December because I said aldo would win...last time I was called a hater before that was 2000 in 8th grade

Theres a big difference between fighting at 170 and fighting a top fighter who fights at 170. Neither Conor or Nate cut from 190.

That being said Conor is awesome and is good for everyone. His opponents get more money, the UFC gets more money and more fans. Hes also a exciting fighter who comes to finish or be finished and was on a pretty good TKO/KO streak.

He is fun. Others attempting to use his model to sell their fights is annoying. The people who are annoying at it usually lack charisma.

Diaz is 3-2 at WW, how is he not a WW? they weigh in at WW, regardless of if they're cutting or not. In the books its a WW fight. Do you call all of Edgar's LW fights FW fights, because he didn't cut at LW?
He's not a WW for the same reason plenty of fighters move weight classes. You find your appreopraite weight class and that's where you go. Guys that fight regularly at WW are much bigger than Diaz. Nick is a WW, not Nate. If you can't add this equation together then I don't know what to tell ya bud....

And It really doesn't matter frankly. The narrative that was being spun is that he fought a fighter 2 weight classes above him and he is the bravest man on the entire planet...blah...blah...blah. He wasn't fighting frikkin Robbie Lawler or any of the much bigger fighters in the WW division. To act as though he did takes some serious, and illogical, mental gymnastics tbqh!

Anyway, he fought a fighter that didn't cut weight from one weight class up, the same weight class that he has plenty of successful experience at and that fighter rolled off a hammock in Cabo to take the fight on 10 days notice and only had a 3 day fight camp. If anyone deserves props it's Diaz for taking a Conor fight on short notice, not Conor for not cutting weight. lol

This is such a strange argument.

This fight was a featherweight against a lightweight at welterweight so they wouldn't have to cut.

Saying Conor moved up two weight classes is disingenuous because he wasn't fighting a welterweight fighter who cut weight for the fight. Nate had fought eight straight times at lightweight, he hadn't put on the muscle to be considered a welterweight fighter.

So was BJ vs GSP I/II a LW fight then? BJ didn't cut.

GSP/BJ II was definitely a welterweight fighting a lightweight.

Their first fight is a bit more difficult to say because BJ hadn't fought at lightweight in three years, and his body was more acclimatized to the division. But, it's probably still fair to call it welterweight against lightweight. BJ is significantly smaller than GSP.

I think is harder for people to admit that is possible to not like the guy and his antics. is simple, i don't like him, i don't think he does enough to be credited as such a "great fighter" and that 13 seconds k.o. was a gift from the gods, UFC made him rich for basically opening his mouth to talk bullshit and don't bring the "fighters should know how to promote fights" BS. They're signed to PROMOTIONS for a reason. these guys go for hell and high water to get paid miserably and someone gets all the privileges because stupid people around the world think is funny to see a small irish man in suits disrespecting other fighters. oh i'm sorry, "mental warfare".

MMA should be able to bring asses to seats just by the art itself, you can leave trash talking and big mouthed people out of the spotlight and focus on the great sport that mma is. What did he bring to MMA ? nothing. for the UFC only, and i want Mixed Martial Arts to survive without the UFC AND Conor McGregor.
He shows how people around this world are very, very easy fooled and if someone represents what you want to be but never will, you all fall for it. If you can't see how fake that man is then wash your eyes with soap.

There's only one thing i hate more than him when it comes to mma, and that is his fans. but i can't do shit about people being easily impressed by thing that happen in the most awesome and unpredictable sport ever. I'll only really shut my mouth about this clown when he gets seriously hurt, just for using MMA to promote his stinky ego. Yeah fuck it i wrote a shernovel about it. take it or leave it.

Again, for the 357th time today....he DID NOT MOVE UP 2 WEIGHT CLASSES. He is simply not cutting weight and fighting another LW fighter who IS ALSO NOT CUTTING WEIGHT.....He is not fighting a WW fighter fucktards!

Cheezus you people are fuggin stupid!!
And how many champions did the same? I only remember MM getting smashed by a Cruz in a manlet division.

Fuck leprechaunnor, can't wait for Nate to whoop his ass again.

The only thing good about El Tapo is watching him squeal and squirm like a scarred little piglet when Nate choked him the fuck out
When Nate does it again, he'll be a national hero.
