Conor McGregor Cleared for UFC 200; "Doesn't Deserve Lightweight Title Shot," Says dos Anjos

The Irishman was boosted yesterday after he heard from the Nevada State Athletic Commission that he would not be receiving a medical suspension that would prevent him from competing at UFC 200 .

There was the fear that if McGregor had suffered any concussion symptoms, the commission might have requested he sit out for an extended period of time, thus missing the biggest show of the year in July. However, the Irishman avoided any suspension and will be free to compete on July 9 in what will a massive return for him after his defeat last weekend.​

True enough. The UFC will (and the cynics on this site have pointed this out multiple times) use the fact that Conor/Nate happened at 170 to sidestep Conor's loss. But since Conor has said (and I think he was instructed as such) that his next fight will be a 145 defence it doesn't matter too much.

Conor will try to fight for the 155 title again if he defends successfully at FW.

Can you do that anyway? That seems like a fun way to end UFC 200.
 
I'd agree with that. But on the other hand I'd still love to see the fight. But he certainly does not deserve it.
 
I'd agree with RDA on that. Give frankie the fight. But it wouldn't surprise me if its aldo. Either way, Conor will be ducking someone no doubt
 
Conor needs to just defend his belt. Why is it so outlandish that we expect a champion to fight in his weight divison. Anyone who believes he deserves a shot at the LW belt is an idiot. Here's a kicker.... why doesn't he fight at UFC 200 against Aldo or Edgar?
 
Does RDA fear Conor? If not, is he too stupid to realize it would be the biggest, easiest pay check he will ever get?

Can you imagine the payday if he fought Conor?
If I where RDA I would beg for that fight.
+ Conor was a bit exposed Vs nate so...

Yea, the smart Irishman quit and quickly shot for a takedown once he knew he could not win.
And he managed to avoid getting knocked the fuck out cold and rather chose to be able to tap out of it.
So he wouldn't get injured and fight on July. Smart guy.

Get those bombs ready and pray to Allah because Weidman is getting a title shot and Ronda (probably will) get her title shot as well after both took an ass whooping.

RDA needs to keep his mouth shut because he couldn't even stay healthy for 196.
 
Conor got Stockton slapped out of contention for that LW title shot. He should defend his King of Manlet title against The Answer. Frankie is on suicide watch from being Dana'd

RDA is full of it. Conor is the featherweight champion on merit, he didn't steal it. Plus he schooled Nate for seven minutes, and just got tired. Tired and sloppy hands down approach is the the only reason Conor lost that fight.

Always take the $$$ fight if available. You never know if you'll have the opportunity to make that kind of $$ again. He's not smart at all.
