Conor is not pettis. I favor pettis if they ever fight. but pettis is gun shy lately. conor pulls the trigger. anyway nate slap the shit out of him on the ground like a little kid with no bjj training.

Conor was rocked before it ever hit the ground. That's why he shot the takedown in the first place.

He was gassed and rocked. That's why he went for the takedown. I am pretty sure a blind person could see that.

as a big Conor fan there were many things in this fight that concern me in regards to his chances at 155 gold.

How he responds to this will define his career. I think he has to, at some point, fight at 155. Not necessarily in 2016, but eventually. And when he does he will need more than a powerful left and he will definitely need to be able to defend himself in the ground.

I hope he rises stronger from this loss.

He was about to be [T]KO'ed, so he shot for a takedown.

I'm quite sad that Diaz submitted him, he could just hang on McGregor for a few seconds, just for the laugh, then release, get back up and KO him before the round end, but damn McGregor is fast! (on tapping, I mean)

Pettis being gun shy works in his favour against Conor. He could counter. Pettis' achilles heel is pressure fighters, & Conor IS a pressure fighter, however Conor applies pressure in a different way to Dos Anjos & Eddie Alvarez. The way Conor applies it would allow Pettis to counter with some flashiness of his own IMO

stand up i think mcgregor wins but pettis is way too slick on the ground.

no shit sherlock i never said anything about that. i am talking about his ground game.

He did fine in the grappling before getting rocked. What caused him to possibly gas and definitely get rocked, is what Conor should look at improving. I think he made some strategic mistakes tonight

theres many fighters who gets rock and stay in guard. conor gave his back.

Diaz has a big grappling advantage over him, especially when he's gassed and rocked. He didn't show a lack of technical ability here (compared to Nate he did but not compared to many other top fighters), nor did he show a lack of heart like Sage did (some people are claiming that).

He need's a proper coach for the ground game, not Kavanaughghg.

I wonder how kavanughg is doing right now.
Can't wait to hear is take on the fight.

You realize the first round ended with McGregor ontop of Diaz, right? Did the fuckers on sherdog even watch the fight?
