In the NFL, they just put the best and toughest guys on the field. In the UFC, they have weightclasses for guys that can't hang with bigger, tougher guys. Conor found out what happens when you move up.

By that logic 75% of the roster is lucky.

There are guys of many different sizes that compete in the NFL ts.

You're given a position based on skill/talent, not size alone.

How many of those guys are Conor's size? When skill and talent are close, the bigger guy wins.

How is it even comparable?

Bigger does not equal better. Is Roy Nelson better than Jose Aldo? Sure he would destroy him, it does NOT mean he is more skilled. This is UFC, not NFL, and this thread is weak, not p4p weak, just plain weak.

Yeah and in the NFL they also wear huge pads and take breaks every 10 seconds.

I remember this really short shill working for MMAFighting.com (enter code word MMAHour for 10% off on Anzie.com) said that if MMA were a real sport Mighty Mouse would be one of the highest paid athletes.

Dummy didn't realize that if MMA were really a real sport like American handegg or basketball, Mighty Mouse would get destroyed on the regional circuit by Travis Fulton and never even made it into the big leagues in the first place.

Dumb thread, the two aren't even comparable.

Lol I would actually love to watch Aldo fight Nelson, Aldo running around trying not to get hit while Roy huffs and puffs and throws another overhand.

1 NFL player's salary = 90% of ufc fighter's combined salary per year.

who's lucky now?

I think everyone is lucky. Because HW is pitiful and nobody would watch MMA if it was the only weight class.

if conor HAS to run forward with a ball for 7 secondes at a time he will lose? lol conor wreks these guys in unarmed combat this isin't about passing balls forward

I think I'm lucky UFC isn't like the NFL because if it was I wouldn't watch it.
