no movement in the futures for conor vs edgar or conor vs aldo following the loss to diaz. futures lines are at the bottom of the link. click on one of the lines to see the movement of the line over time.

granted edgar and aldo are different opponents than diaz, but generally when a fighter gets "exposed," "destroyed" and written off (as much of sherdog seems to believe), then the odds market adjusts accordingly.

seems that those who actually put their money on the line dont agree with the sherdog mob mentality.

Thats not how lines are set. They are set purely on how they think the betting will go. The lines havent changed because teh oddsmakers know the sheeple are goign to bet on conor because of how famous he is.

the lines change when the book gets out of balance. the lines are only predictive when they first open. after that, its market-priced.

no change in aldo/edgar futures means no one actually thinks conor has a worse chance to win those matchups even after losing to diaz. otherwise, money coming in on aldo/edgar would move the line. thats how bookmaking works.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the lines change according to the bets, right?
For example, if there are a lot of people putting money on one guy, they lower his value and increase his opponent's value so more people will bet on the other guy.
That's how it works, isn't it?

Yeah, this right here.

You are missing the obvious. People don't want to tie their money up on futures, especially when fights aren't announced. Futures are pretty shitty to bet as they have a condition that the fight must happen before ______ date , so they can literally hold your money until ______ date as an interest free loan. Also, the futures are pulled on 5dimes right now yet they remain on bestfightodds.
