Correction: He's proven himself to be a brilliant front-runner. However, he apparently crumbles when hit by adversity.

What happened to the guy who said that he 'loves' every part of the game, including fulfilling his promotional duties. The guy who said that this is easy for him. The guy who said that his confidence is iron-clad, that he loves pressure.

As Dana pointed out in that Fox interview, that 3 city tour is a normal part of promoting a fight of this magnitude and it taking place so early in the campaign means that there is plenty of time to re-focus, build a perfect camp, breathe the Irish air and whatever else Conor needs.

So this is about one thing and one thing only:

Conor doesn't have the confidence to face Nate and the media. He can't even see himself trudging through it for 10 mil. He is definitely mentally broken.
