A grappler catching a striker with a big punch can certainly happen as the striker is focused on a TD instead so it really should not be that shocking when it happens...

And a striker can certainly submit a superior grappler if he first catches him with a big strike and has him almost out. So again no real shock there.

Conor could get a sub like barao used to. Hit a guy so hard that you can choke him out while he’s recovering. Khabib would have to ko Conor late after tiring him out with his gnp. Both aren’t very likely to happen though.

We've seen countless examples of superior strikers getting KO'd. That's the nature of striking; it only takes one good shot to end the fight. Grappling is different. While it does happen from time to time, it's far less common that a far superior grappler gets subbed.
