If Chael's analogy is correct about bluffing a gambler and losing, it does not quite end there. Conor has options cuz he still has a massive stack on the table and he can gamble again with the same opponent or try his hand against another player like Rizen or Bellator or partner up with...
GOLDEN BOY.
Now as a former manager in the world of entertainment, the last option I believe is based on a major factor. Allow every fighter to come into a new promotion where everyone who fights shares in PPV on a sliding scale, not just the top guys. Also, sponsorship is the fighters responsibility which is a huge opportunity with massive incentive. The major factor is to start after a period of 8 months and have a Christmas Blowout Tournament. The time is needed to establish the various weight categories and filter out the riffraff. ie. who did fedor fight last?
n.b. A note to the UFC... the art of negotiation is subtle. Having the last say is sometimes the beginning of a divorce. You could have exploited Conor for the next ten years. You're a bunch of short sighted dimwits. Let the Kobe cow grow big and fat before you slaughter it.
Good luck Conor with whatever you decide to do. You were hella entertaining and the only reason I started watching mma again. Win or lose, this Bud's for you brah.
Peace from Canada.
