Conor’s style actually made me interested in a Khabib rematch

Against both Cowboy and Poirier, Conor applied immediate forward pressure. Conor’s stance at the opening bell had his knees slightly bent, and he was throwing heavy shots. No doubt he would try this against Khabib, no one has ever really “took it to” Khabib before other than Michael Johnson and he was the only person to tag him, we were expecting it with the Gaethje fight but he flopped hard and was terrified of applying any real pressure. I think Conor obsessed over that Khabib fight and knew that heavy pressure style would have the best chance at beating him. Khabib never threw a strike in the first round of their fight, and only circled and lay n prayed... Very interesting things could occur if a rematch took place.

Conor took it to khabib in the first fight

Also dustin scored an easy takedown and was able to get conor to the fence

Khabib would wreck conor and imo he would be the one walking him down this time

Anyways conor is 3-3 above fw and one was a win over a cowboy that looked suspect after coming off 2 heavy defeats and another was a razor thin majority decision over diaz, were he ran for his life

Conor doesn't deserve the rematch and is at best a diaz level fighter (nate is better imo)

He did the same against Khabib, did you actually watch that fight?

You should watch that fight again as well, because Khabib was the one pressuring MJ, not the other way around.

No, there is a clear distinction in the type of pressure he was applying. Conor walked towards Khabib with his hands down throwing a front kick, no way he would do that again, he’d be throwing heat within two seconds.

...well, that will not happen

he started with almost the EXACT same combo against cerrone and Khabib ... Conor never had a chance, the dude cant even defend takedowns against Poirier
Conor was going for the fastest KO record against Cerrone, you need to rewatch that sequence.

"lay and prayed". Your statement automatically disqualifies from any discussion.

He threw a left hand first which missed, then a few seconds afterwards threw a head kick, the exact same kick which rocked Cerrone... So he was 'throwing heat' immediately when the fight started.

What is even the point of this thread lol? That Conor would put even more pressure on Khabib somehow in a fantasy rematch and win the fight? He'd probably walk himself straight into a takedown, or possibly even another big right overhand.

Can't tell if these threads are shitposts/trolling or actually serious sometimes. I'm leaning towards trolling for this one though.

He did that against Khabib. He was chasing Khabib outside the black line to force a shot from Khabib.
Khabib didn't fall for his pressure.
Conor lost the centre of the Octagon because of this and got pressured on the backfoot.

Conor can't win in any style against Khabib.
If he would have fought Khabib with the patience and discipline in his Alvarez fight he would still loose.
Khabib was circling and this made Conor impatient.
If you fight against Khabib you don't fight a wrestler. You fight someone who knows your mind better than you do. He knows the mind of his opponents better than themselves.
Khabib is not just a fighter but a person with a high fight IQ, double the experience of all fighters and he watches every single mma fight of all organizations.
How can you compete against such a person.
Not trading punches makes Conor impatient.
Conor is like Kevin Lee. They have the fear in their mind that they have to finish quick.
Conor does that by immense pressure. Kevin Lee tried a takedown which took more than 3 minutes on RDA and failed.
Once you can plant that fear in someone's mind during a fight they get emotional and start chasing.

Look at the difference when Herb Dean starts the fight, Conor almost starts it before against Poirier, against Khabib he has his hands down. I’m talking IMMEDIATE pressure, not waiting nine seconds to throw a punch

You are right. He looked at Khabib that he had to keep the line while conor was already in the centre. Herb Dean did the same thing against Poirier.

Dustin did no damage on the ground after the takedown so it doesn’t matter. Conor also rather got up quickly.

Every fight is different, but at their current stages, I would heavily have to favore Khabib.

Yeah but this tires the fuck out of Conor. The pressure from khabib is just too much. Not many have the tank to keep him in check. Conor might pop up a couple of times, but his ass is going back down. There’s no way he wins a rematch. The cardio he needs to defend the relentless chain wresting style of Khabib would take a year or more to build. He doesn’t have it and likely never will.

LOL! What could Khabib do against Conor? Leg kick him?
We all saw how easy the new imporved All american Conor managed to get up!!

I bet that Connor can easily outwrestle Jordan Bourroghs right now!

LONG LIVE THE NUTHUGGERS
