Conor is not just a man...He is literally a brand name...If he gets humilated by Khabib, that will affect his whole "Im the best" claims and he will sell less PPVs........Unlike the Nate Diaz fight which had excuses built into it, like late notice(even tho Nate hadn't trained and was drinking in cabo thus, nate was really at a disadvantage), or the fight taking place at welter weight.....All that were built in excuses that minimize the damage to his brand name.


However with Khabib........There will be no excuse......if Conor loses to Khabib, it's hard to have damage control in that situation.

You make a good point here but MMA fans will always hold that against him. The days of pride are gone where Akira Shoji is fighting the top guy in the world... Conor will never get any freebie fights for him to improve his overall game with minimal risk.
