The scene towards the end right after Thanos snaps his fingers, he talks to young Gamora in what I'm assuming is the Soul Stone. Their dialogue was a bit confusing and I need some clarity from you nerds.

@Dragonlordxxxxx, explain, kind sir

Also, after doing to Hulk de Randamie worse than what Silva did to Griffin, Thanos is coming for Stipe's belt. All he has to do is make weight.

What did it mean?

They basically summed up war and peace in that conversation.

I hope this helps.

My theory is the soul of the person that got sacrificed for the soul stone resides in the stone and acts as a second conscience of the soul stone's wielder.

I figured it was a way for the director to show him speaking to his conscience, to show that he wasnt without guilt for what he just did

Hulk de Randamie hahah.

Yeah man- Thor and Hulk both got absolutely wrecked by Thanos but the difference was all Thor could think of was getting that rematch (went to train with a great camp led to by Dinklage); all Hulk could think about was staying away and hoping Thanos lost the belt (gauntlet) so he didn't have to face him again.

Great way of describing it.

I suppose the ambiguity is whether Thanos feels guilt over what he did en masse (that is, even though in his mind it's for the greater good, Thanos feels badly about trillions of lives being effaced so he could do that) or whether his guilt is contained to the act of killing Gamora. I think it's highly likely that it's the latter.

Thanos outright told Strange that he considers what he's doing mercy- the people are wiped out of existence instantaneously and will not have to endure a slower, more grueling decline as the universe exhausts its resources.

So when he says it cost him everything- it would see to me he's referring to the one individual that he loved most as well as perhaps his energy, effort, strength, etc- all that he had to give of himself to achieve his mission.

Well, nagging is some kinda bullshit power. Fuck is that? Space. Power. Time. Reality. The mind. And Tito Jackson.

I think that main reason the soul stone is so nebulous is weren't they at one point all known as soul gems? Starlin revamped and specified them during THANOS QUEST?

Thanos was one of the 50% who died when he snapped his fingers, but the soul stone/ infinity gauntlet insta-resurrected him.
For the brief moment he was dead, his soul was in the Soul Stone where he was able to talk to the avatar of Gamora's soul.

It's the small price to pay for saving the universe.

Yeah, they all used to be soul gems with different powers. But in the movies its power is killing everyone or turning rubble into flying creatures.

One thing is thinking about doing something, another is doing it. I think actually doing it maybe made Thanos regret killing trillions.

Regret about Gamorra is unquestionable, I don't know why you guys are even discussing that.
