Maybe it's my ADD or whatever, but damn it's so hard to listen to podcast without video's lol.

Thanks for sharing though.

its very common for big companies to keep mergers and stuff like that a secret - its a disaster if people find out and it doesnt happen - then the ufc will have to continue to run the business and all the fighters will know they dont care etc. - its better to keep it secret and blast the hell out of anyone who suggest otherwise until its official - simple strategy that works time and again - also, ufc wants to give out information on their terms, they dont want to react to other people finding out stuff and asking them

This is from the UFC Podcast........ http://m.ufc.com/news/ufc-unfiltered-episode-1-dana-white-matt-serra-jim-norton-june-2016

Dana white joins Matt Serra and is asked specifically about sale. Makes it sound like this thing is bogus but than does not flat out dispel the rumors. I don't know what to think because they obviously wouldn't confirm sale until it was a done deal anyway. Also talks about Ariel "UNDER THE SEA" Helwani

I took it as Dana saying that he was staying on after the sale and none of his employees should be concerned about their jobs.

It could also mean that the sale was not for 100% of teh UFC.

I'm waiting for a real news outlet to report the sale. Fuck listening to these hack MMA journalists.

Remember when Dana denied that Lesnar was returning for UFC200, and the announcement was made a day later?

Yup, that was a long time ago.

Man delete this thread before you lose your UFC credentials, ya f'n goof!

Since you are new here I will break it down for you. You can't trust any news that comes from the UFC about the UFC. They are disreputable in all things UFC. Don't expect transparency from them.

it's not a merger sir. This would be an acquisition! lot's of people in the business world don't like the use that phrase but it's important to understand the difference between the two.

Botter will be doing a three hour podcast tomorrow where he breaks down in tears and tells us how his family moved to america from europe in 1872

They aren't going to confirm anything until everything is signed and done. You know Dana aint saying shit and run the risk having the deal fall through and he not get the millions he stands to pull in.

Lol "this is from the UFC podcast hosted on UFC.com"

Well then it's not a conflicting report

They are selling but I doubt this information would get leaked

Someone made the rumour even though it's been pretty obvious that they are going to sell soon after 200 and then idiots like Botter and Meltzer started adding their own bs ideas and theories.

Remember when Dana denied that they were in talks to buy PRIDE? Right up until the announcement that they had bought PRIDE.

This is from the UFC Podcast . Also talks about Ariel "UNDER THE SEA" Helwani
Is that little mermaid "slam" from you or from Dana (which is as much a girls name as Ariel....i.e. It isn't, it's Gender neutral)

LOL. Thanks for the heads up but I'm not really new here. Have been reading sherdog forums for nearly 10 yrs, but being involved in the mma community chose not to post until recently.
