Condit got robbed!

I thought Robbie clearly won under PRIDE scoring... but I'm not sure how you give him 3 rounds under the 10 point must system. Anyway, it was a great fight and that 5th round was possibly one of the greatest in mma history.

Lawler himself thought the judges were wrong. Why do you think he agreed to a re-match before anybody even mentioned it ? You 2,3,5 assholes just need to fuck right off. This wasnt GSP, Diaz, or Hendricks. They are not relevant. There is no karma, or pay back. This was Lawler vs Condit... Condit won... Quit fucking lying.

Robbie's power was the difference. Confit threw way more strikes, but they aren't as impressive as when Robbie throws. You know at any time of the fight Robbie can end it with one shot. You can't say the same about Condit.

If the fight was moderately close, you shouldnt have much dispute with Lawler winning. Haters gonna hate.

Had you read my first reply to this thread you'd already have your response. Let me reiterate for you: The fight was fairly close, I had Condit winning, however it wasn't a blowout by either man. Considering the enormous backlash which occurred as a result of Lawler winning, I am compelled to speculate how much dispute would have ensued had the score-cards read the other way.

I almost gave Condit round 2. Except for that 2 punch combo Lawler did nothing.

I'm torn over this. I thought Condit won, but I hate his point fighting style with strikes that barely touch. I wanted to punch my computer when Robbie dropped round 4 and I thought it was going to a decision... glad I didn't :P

No he did not! That´s what happen when you resort to point-fighting. Lawler wanted the win more and he showed on the cage.

off with you troll. Robbie wanted it more? So much more, in fact, that he attempted 1/3 of the strikes his opponent did. Point fighting? Fuck outta here. If Condit was point fighting Lawler was not even fighting at all because outside a kd in 2 and surge in 5 he got precisely fuckall for the remainder of the fight. Point fighting lol, do you even know what that term means?...

Condit clearly won 1,3 and 4
Lawler clearly won 5
2nd round was a toss-up

The fight was NOT close at all

Either way, it's 48-47 condit or 49-46 condit.

2nd round was Robbie's strongest round. Condit clearly won 1 and 4, Robbie clearly won 2 and 5. Round three is the round in debate.

He attempted 1/3 the strikes but landed over 1/2. Robbie's punches had Carlos' head whipping around like his name was Willow Smith.

Condit clearly won 1, 3, and 4 no question. Robbie got a 10-9 in round two and a 10-8 in round five for a draw at best. I'm extremely disappointed.

I just watched the fight. Had to miss the live event for work. That's the reason for being a day late.

You guys may not believe it, but I knew while watching the fight that robbie was going to win a Controversial decision. Condit was POINT FIGHTING clear as day. If MMA was scored that way, I wouldn't mind it, but MMA isn't karate.

Lol what? the only toss up was round 3. 48-47 either way was fine.

He didn't get robbed, he got Robbie'd.

Lawler 2, 3, and 5.
Yeah, no chance. I just rewatched round 3 after reading this. Robbie had a strong first minute and a half, but landed less than 10 strikes in all of his aggressive flurries at the start of the round. From 2 minutes onward Robbie became mostly inactive and Condit pushed him around the cage out landing him 2:1 in the round.

I had it 48-47 Condit. I was actually talking to my girlfriend about what a great performance that was by Condit and whether Lawler would get a rematch and then I heard the results:

"...and STILL..."

I was completely caught off guard. Literally didn't think there was a chance in hell Lawler won that fight. Great battle between two stellar fighters. But no way that was Lawler's.

Ruthless: R2, R5
NBK: R1, R4
Debatable: R3

I'm a huge Robbie fan - and although I thought the fight could go either way - I thought Condit would win 48-47 because of R3.
As for Condit point fighting, I don't buy it; he was engaging as much as Robbie did in that fight from my vantage point.
What I *DID* have a problem with - and what I will probably continue to have a problem with unless Robbie changes his style - is his lack of fear in taking punches continuously aids his opponents win rounds; it's simply not smart fighting.

FKNn AY TS. Condit was robbed gunpoint style by three motherfqn judges

lawler 2,3,5
That's what I was thinking Saturday night. But I just rewatched it and changed my mind. Condit 1,3,4 - Robbie 2 & 5.

In my mind the 3rd round was the only one that was disputable. I thought Condit clearly won 1 and 4, Robbie clearly on 2 and 5.

On Saturday I was thinking this could go either way and I wouldn't be disappointed. Today after a rewatch, I think it was pretty clear Condit earned that title.
