Computer Question (I've exhausted all other resources)

On my computer (running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit), I don't have a "scrollwheel" option under the Mouse configuration. I can't find any answers on Google. I've uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it. I've used multiple mice. What can I do to fix this? Scrolling webpages without the scrollwheel is excrutiating.

Change USB ports.

Also restart your computer

Try changing your mouse settings in Windows 7, from it's default "Flip" to "Middle Click".

My brother gave it to me, and it's not really optimized for general use at this point. But it has a GTX1070 card, and I'm building it into a gaming rig. Not gonna worry about buying a new one.

Probably just need to bite the bullet and move to Windows 10.

When does support for Windows 7 end?
Microsoft ended mainstream support for Windows 7 on January 13, 2015, but extended support won’t end until January 14, 2020.

It's an easy fix. The issue with Windows 7 64-bit is that when it is installed it usually comes bundled with a particularly useless folder called System32. This folder has been the source of many people's problems over the years, and your computer will benefit in many ways if you delete this folder.

What will happen if you delete system 32?
First of all, most of the files in there are in use by windows and as a result the OS won't let you do it unless you use a program like KillBox (and even still, it would be tough). However, if you manage to delete the system32 folder, windows will be hosed and you will have to re-install the OS.​
