UFC 200 will (as of this time) have a main event with no title on the line. UFC 100 had Brock Lesnar vs.Frank Mir for the Heavyweight Title and GSP vs. Thiago Alves for the Welterweight Title in the co-main event. Their co-main event in UFC 100 was more prestigious than the main event of UFC 200 is!

How about we wait until the card is filled, instead of speculating?

Hey Chetto fingers that is simply your opinion. If you don't like it rewatch 100 instead of buying 200 and quit whining.

Also, 100 had Henderson-Bisping, which, IMO, had a much better build and made more sense than the rematch I can't believe anyone cares about (McGregor-Diaz).

the main event of UFC 100 was far better than 200

the rest of the ufc 200 card is far better than UFC 100

McGregor/Diaz is a better fight. The level of striking is infinitely superior, which will make for another exciting bout. The personalities of both are bigger than Lesnar's and Mir's, with both of them having a lot of fans. They're both better at promoting a fight as well. The pair of them got 1.5 million PPV buys on 10 days notice. This time there will be a bigger build up and even more intrigue. People here really should stop lying about this... You're all interested in what Conor may do differently and/or what Nate is going to do with a full camp.

Why do you pretend you don't care about Diaz/McGregor II?

I don't recall saying I wasn't interested in the fight--in many threads I've actually said that I think it's a better fight than people give it credit for

However, it's pointless to the divisions, and Brock Lesnar was a way bigger star than Conor will ever be.

It does seem like, given the possible matchups, we have been let down with 200

McGregor's already got 2 PPVs outside of any mega-event like UFC 100 or 200 that are bigger than any Brock was involved in (UFC 194 did 1.2 million buys and 196 did 1.5). How is Lesnar bigger?

And why is the fight pointless? For starters McGregor had a LW title shot before he lost to Nate. If he beats him he may win that back. Which could lead to him having to vacate the FW title.

How about we compare all the comparisons of these comparisons instead?

No, you have not been. Because when I ask people like yourself what alternatives you would go for you tend to give us "Edgar/McGregor" first of all. The build up for that would be extremely dull thanks to Edgar being a promotional nightmare. As I said, you have as the main event the biggest male star in MMA against the hottest star in MMA right now. What fight could actually be bigger than that except for Ronda/Holly which you'd all be complaining about even more and they can't do anyway.

UFC 200 has a star name in just about every fight on the card. And it still hasn't been completed.

Would you like some cheese with that whine!?

McGregor already said (or maybe its was DFW) that he will defend his title after this fight no matter what

Stop cockriding McGregor. If Brock came back in today's MMA climate rather than when he did, he would be making 2 mill+ PPV. He's way bigger to the average person. It's not close. Not to mention his fight was for a title at UFC 100, Conor's is rematching a guy that just embarassed him on 10 days notice in the main event of UFC 200

Jesus man, 1. Never made any of those suggestions and 2. Saying they can do better with fights isn't actually knocking the current fights, just saying there are fighters not booked in the future that could be good to have on card eg. Lawler etc.

Settle down lad

It was Dana White. Who goes back on what he says so often, it hardly matters what he says.

Stop cockriding McGregor.

How about you get over your turgid hatred of the man and admit the facts.

Maybe, for the first big return. But his last PPV did about 500,000.

Both Ronda and Conor are bigger than Lesnar ever was imo.[/QUOTE]
