I started King in Black then some summary at the end of #1 referenced something I thought was Gorr vs Knull, so I read that and it was just Gorr's origin and he's so overpowered to whoop and enslave Asgardians.Read King in Balck while back , I like Knull but he's too overpowered, Venom had to pretty much become captain universe to take him down. That's a real sentence.
You can preview at getcomics.org but as with all "event" comics, you might have to chase a bunch of separate titles. And is there a graphic novel of the whole thing?
I work a lot of fan expo shows but not out of the US. how's the Friday crowd??I’m at fan expo right now in Toronto. Tried to post pictures but it says files too large. Will work on it when I get home I guess
Put the books in a sealed box and store them with cedar chips ( also good for boxing gloves) or baking soda to absorb the smell . Obviously spread the pages and don't let them touch the soda/ cedar .
Try with one and see how it goes . And stop smoking that crap.
Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll try some baking soda first and see how that goes.
LOL, that was also part of me worrying about my wife. She’s the most anti-weed person you’ll ever meet. I haven’t smoked any since 2010 when I was in my last year of law school so she’d probably accuse me of smoking it while she’s not home or something.
I never got into Conan as a series. I did buy a few books when I was younger because I loved the artwork and the genre, Individual issues could be great, but didn't find Conan interesting enough to follow as a series. I'm sure there are story arcs that are great tho. somebody will have a recommendation, if not here then reddit, or bluesky, twitter etcNot sure if this thread is “dead” or if another one has taken its place but didn’t really feel like this deserved its own thread, but does anyone here read any of the Conan comics? I took my son to a comic book store last weekend and on a whim I decided to buy myself some Dark Horse Conan comics, but only ones based upon Robert E Howard’s original short stories. I have an Conan anthology book with all of Howard’s original Conan short stories so I was curious in checking out how those story’s adaptations into comics compare.
The funny thing is I went to another comic book store yesterday during my lunch break and picked up a few more but the store absolutely reeked of weed, and I never even thought about the comics I bought absorbing the smell. I get home and throw them on my bedside table, and then after work I went into my room and it stinks like weed now too. I knew my wife would be pissed so I’ve stored them inside a Tupperware container to stop them from fumigating our room with weed odour.
So I have two questions:
1. For anyone that’s a fan of Conan comics do you have any recommendations?
2. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get the weed odour off these comics so I can’t just put them on a shelf instead of keeping them in Tupperware in perpetuity?
dang TC with 115 issues, thats very cool! And I like the Conan Dark Horse comics , got about 115 of their issues . I like the fact that they cover a wide range of his life including " King Conan"
The Titan ones are not too bad and they're current.
Finding the Marvel ones ( all 275 I think) could be hard going and expensive but there has been a couple of reissues of the early comics as omnibus editions .
And Conan makes an appearance in " Savage Avengers" which I own but haven't read as yet ...
And I own all the Conan books including the Robert Jordan ones until the mid 80s . I've heard the other Conan novels after these are ..not great...

Still, thats a strong collection. I love it when people collect comics that I didn't. Outside of Hellboy and some Dark Horse/ Image books I started to collect toward the end of my time as a reader/ collector, my collection was pretty vanilla (X-books, Thor, Spiderman).Only 65 or so of the original Marvel ones out of the 275 though....
