Personally I loved Civil War. I actually have all the tie ins as well.

Millar being typical Millar and Steve McNiven drawing the fuck outta this series.

And regardless what some comics fans believ, Civil War just like House of M had long lasting effects in the Marvel universe.

Saw on Reddit that, regarding Batman:
Bruce remembers he's Batman at the very moment Joker waltzes up and sits down beside him (apparently as clueless as Bruce was when he first came back).

Finally got around to reading Walt Simonson's Orion after owning the omnibus for months and it's really good. It's basically what Walt did in his legendary run on Thor for Marvel, except for DC's Orion. So if you loved what he did for Thor then you need to be reading this shit.

Word of warning though: If you plan on buying the omnibus whichever jack ass in charge of creating it decided to stick all the fucking backup stories in the actual back of the book and there's no table of contents or anything to tell you in which order to read them in after reading the main issues. At one point I was like 4 backup stories behind then ended up like 3 backup stories ahead. Whoever decided this was a good idea should be shot in the genitals. Completely unnecessary and a pain in the ass constantly having to flip back and forth between this big ass book trying to figure out if you're reading all of it in the correct order.

Who else is all caught up with Secret Wars.

Issue 8 just came out...

I know this series has been running very behind schedule and that the all new all different marvel relaunch didn't necessarily fit smoothly into Secret Wars, or vice versa.

With that said, the series is pretty fucking awesome. The last two issues 7-8 have been action packed and pretty intense.

The last two issues have been good, but the problem is that we've already been shown the conclusion, so there is no gravity to any of the proceedings.

Doom taking out the godlike power level beings of Cyclops and Thanos would have been a big deal if regularly continuity storytelling but Battleworld/Secret Wars may as well be an alternate universe at this point.

Though I'd share a few new sketches I added to my collection. The first one is a Rodimus Prime Sketch by Alex Milne who does the pencil in a lot of the Transformers:MTMTE and Transformers VS G.I Joe series.

The other 2 are Judge Dredd and Judge Death sketches on the new Judge Dredd #1 blank. These 2 were just finished for me today and I couldn't of asked for a better Christmas gift then that.

I can honestly say that once Secret Wars concludes I'll probably be only reading Miles Morales' Spider-Man book. None of the new titles interest me. :(

Maybe the Hulk for as long as Cho does it, but that's it. The 616 reboot is a bust.

Soooooooo is Marvel doing a universe wide (616) reboot? Is that what's going on? Anyone read Amazing Spider-Man, and if so what is this "Renew your Vows" arc? Last issue I read was during Spider-verse
They've already done the reboot. They're currently on #4 for Amazing Spiderman. It's weird because they haven't even finished Secret Wars yet.

Yeah, very few of the new titles do anything for me.

Star-Lord looks good. I'll probably keep reading that. So does Weirdworld.

See how it pans out: Spider-Woman, Squadron Supreme.

Haven't read the Hulk with Cho yet.

Oh, and I'll keep reading Deadpool because it's been 20 years, why stop now?

I'm interested in the Miles Morales series but I think it comes out around February. Squadron Supreme #1 was interesting to say the least.

Nevermind. Let me pump my brakes just a smidge.

Read the latest pre Secret Wars Ant Man run. Very, very good. Reminded me of Fraction and Aja's Hawkeye run. Spencer and Rosanas are a solid team. Just finished downloading the new Astonishing Ant Man, and am expecting similar results. And Mark Brooks covers are top notch.

Sometimes a good human interest story is all you need in a super hero book.

Man, the new Hawkeye fucking blows.

I just read the new Hulk and IDK. Frank Cho on art is always amazing, but too much content too fast for a single issue. That's the problem with a lot of these #1s. Like you, I'll stick it out till Cho's done on it. Good lines about She-Hulk, though.

Didn't know you read any Marvel stuff! I've read the first few issues of the new Peter Parker Spider-Man and meh. I probably won't pick up the next issue.

Miles Morales is being pushed heavily right now by Marvell

I have to say he's great in all new all different avengers. I'm gonna stick with this character. Plus Bendis is writing him so why wouldn't i.

I'm glad Hes in the 616 universe

I'm in a Flash mood, ordered The Flash: Reverse Vol. 4 New 52, I was in for the Flash in the beginning and it was wonderful but couldn't keep up with many titles, hoping this one is another gem by Manapul and Buccellato

The Geoff johns run was a classic. im sure you've read it already.

I've also heard Geoff's GL run was also great. I would pick it up but right now I'm sticking to new stuff. My budget can't handle it.

I don't like the whole Tony Stark vibe they're going for. That's why I'm interested in the Miles' series. It's cool that Parker is grown up but I've alwayed liked young Spider-Man stories and with Miles, we may get that.

I have not, but I've heard the same thing

actually I think i have some issues, along with the GJ's Hawkman run
I've never read GJ's Hawkman but I'm sure it's good.

His Green Lantern, Flash, and JSA are all seminal pieces from him and DC. All classic runs.
