Anyway my daughter doesn't know about any of that, she was crying because the Joker clearly stuck around and stripped Barb naked in a pool of blood, so it looks like some torture or beatings to her, you condescending fuck. Move on.

So death, dismemberment, and murder are all on the table, but you never touched on the subject of sex's either positive or negative aspects in comics knowing there are writers like Alan Moore out there? How exactly did the library or your wife drop the ball again if you clearly have knowledge in such matters?

You put this topic out there for the Sherbros and their skewed views, you should have known better, take your lumps. Now your kid knows the dark side of comics, and I'm sure the wife will be more diligent going forward. Let's end this here.

Happy Fathers Day to all my comic Dads out there. The wife and kids upgraded me to a 64gb iPad. Now I can keep more copies of the titles I read! 16gb is definitely not enough for a digital reader like myself. I went through all my purchases from when Marvel gave away all those 700 free number ones a few years ago. So many titles I wanted to try but forgot about due to deleting them to make space. With my iTunes cards I think House of M and AvX are next on my list as this new Secret Wars drags out.

I didn't share the story as a legitimate "complaint" against Moore, it was more about the Library being hilariously bad at stocking their Children's Section. It was pretty freaky at first, but pretty funny in retrospect. She's a badass kid. I didn't tell her to start reading Wolverine comics, and I didn't stop her (she loved the "Origin #1" and one of the Japanese-set storylines I can't find right now, not sure if anyone remembers the title but Wolverine gets blown up in a nuclear power plant at the end, or something like that) She can hit up the comic book section all she wants, those two slipped past the censors, obviously. I'm not really sure what age comic fans need to be to start reading Alan Moore, but it's definitely not eight.

A guy like Alan Moore is going to make whatever he wants, and he's critically-acclaimed for making creatively dark stuff. Nobody's actually mad at him. Killing Joke wasn't the worst case scenario for our oldest, my daughter was just upset because she really likes Batgirl, and who wouldn't be, if you're a girl reading comics that cripple your favorites. Good luck explaining League of Extraordinary Gentlemen to your kids, though.

It's not that outlandish to think the Librarians stocking the kids section didn't know the difference between Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and the PG-13 movie. Same thing with Killing Joke--even though I know what happens in the Killing Joke, to be totally honest, I don't think the cover looks particularly sadistic or tell-tale fucked up.

I'm expanding my comic book exploits into illustrated books.
I've been working on my Creepy Scarlett series for 3 years and now expand that world by bringing Mr. Ted to life for his first adventure.

I hope to turn it into it's own series of books and hopefully an animated series and movies.

Old Man Logan is hands down the best book under the Secret Wars banner.

Wolverine hasnt been written this good in 20+ years.

I read both issues and both are fantastic so I don't know what u mean by ruining this character. If anything he is staying true to the original material and incorporating it into this arc.

Plus the ending of issue 2 was awesome

With the xmen alive hinting at what happened in the original run didn't happen. Come on. If they say wolverine doesn't kill the xmen and that was the villains messing with wolverine it shits on the first run.

That is a major part of why that comic was epic. If bendis does this, this is an epic fail in sequel proportions

Yeah it looks like Marvel once again handed their most important properties back over to Bendis. He is once again gonna be back in the drivers seat as Marvels top writer and main architect.


He started with Disassembled and New Avengers and than was put onto the Xmen and after Secret Wars hell be helming to titles Marvel will heavily be pushing..

It just clicked for me that Strange King's interpretation is that Old Man Logan was the Battleworld Logan all along and the story was told from within Battleword.

Doesn't really fit with the whole Battleworld concept because each part of Battleworld was part of a preexisting world that Doom managed to save.

Old Man Logan couldn't have happened within Battleworld.

Logan's journey in Old Man Logan:

Logan apparently crosses over from the Wastelands (31) into the Domain of Apocalypse (3) in the Battleworld version.

I do agree with Strange that they shouldn't have brought the character back, especially if its with the intention of integrating him into a future mainstream universe. Old Man Logan was a great standalone story and they should leave well enough alone instead of trying to milk that shit dry.

Wiki It is set in an alternate universe designated as Earth-807128.

Again his Xmen died but in the new comic these xmen are not claiming to be from somewhere else they are insinuating he actually never killed them. At the end of the original he sets out to be a hero. That is where this book is picking up.

Learn some reading comprehension.
